Appearance: Chestnut colored fur with a short brown mane that has a single streak of white. Wears glasses for reading as his short range vision isn't quite well.

Personality: Clockwork is a very kind colt, he has never been in a fight of any kind and always tries to mediate any situation. However he will stand up for himself or another pony if he feels the need to. He is always chastised as a nerd or egghead because of his vast knowledge of clocks and time itself.

Backstory: Clockwork was born into a simple household in Ponyville. His father is a clock repairer, which sparked his love of the mechanics and use of clocks. One day while fiddling with one of his own clocks (he entertains himself usually by taking apart a clock and putting it back together, usually blindfolded) he got curious about the subject that the clock represented, time. He began to read all about the essence of time, that a proper spell can allow you to bend the time fabric to your own will. He obtained a book on time spells from the Ponyville library and read it cover to cover, more than just once. Eventually he decided to try his own time spells, most usually started off as experimental failures, but one day, when he was late for school, he cast a spell out of distress, and slowed time to a stop! He made it to class with minutes to spare. Eventually with more practice, he learned to control his time freezing spell rather well, and can do it any time at will. He caught the notice of the head unicorns at the academy and they asked him to apply, promising him the perfect opportunity to practice his gift.
