Personality: Clockwork is a frightening figure, standing heads above most denziens of Equestria with a looming sense of scorn for all he sees. Calculative, confident and determined are Clockwork at his best, but he is also cruel, manipulative and holds a certain disdain for any life in general. Beleiving cold, ruthless efficiency is superior to any organic thought tactics, alongside his ability to manipulate time, Clockwork is a dangerous ally and a merciless enemy.

Backstory: Eons ago, when Equestria was but a ball of rock, Discord reigned supreme. Let off his leash after creating the cataclysm which began the universe, the God of Chaos ran rampant, destroying and warping all that had been made. In response, the universe birthed two beings from the order within this eternal chaos. Queb; Alicorn of Nature, of Fauna, of Flora and his brother, Clockwork; Alicorn of Time, of Beginnings, of Endings.<br />The universe assigned the two to the world that was to become Equestria, but whilst Queb was given the task of bringing beauty and wonder to the surface of the world, Clockwork toiled both within and without, rearranging time to start the heart of the planet and speed the process of growth up. A noble idea, but it did not sit well with the Lord of Nature, who chatsied Clockwork on his methods, telling him that the growth of the species to come must be natural. Clockwork argued that unless a suitable defense could be made to halt or counter Discord, this world would come to ruin as all before it had. Their differences potent and with Discord's clownish crusade dawning, Clockwork did the unthinkable and forged himself a new body in the heart of the planet. When Discord arrived, he found a world littered with lush foliage and slowly evolving species. Queb had sought to trap Discord, allowing the God of Chaos to please himself by creating more varied species for each blob that crawled from the first oceans. Queb had not counted on the flaw in his plan, Discord easily grew bored with the blobs and began attacking the already formed.<br />When Clockwork emerged from the centre of the planet, his new armour ready for the inevitable battle he had seen countless times, he was furious. With Queb creating so many species and Discord a thousand more, through all the chaos brought upon this world Discord had grown stronger and the variated chaos of all species added to that.<br />Taking to the skies on bladed wings, Clockwork tracked the chaos to its master and a great battle began.<br />In the Book of Alicorns it does not say who truly won, only that disaster and destruction nearly broke the world in two as seconds and millennia fought anarchy and insanity. In the end, Discord overpowered the Time God, his soul torn from his body and left to float in the vastness of space forever. The armour Clockwork had made became useful after all, serving as his new body for eons to come. Whilst the rest of Equestria grew, as civilisation was forged and as brothers and sisters of the original two came to provide governing to these new nations, Clockwork remained alone on the volcanic isle he emerged from those countless years ago, hating not only Discord for the pain he caused the Time God, but also his brother, whos unwitting failure cost him his body. Clockwork has made forays from his island in the past, to establish business or to wage open war on the children of his brother, and the christened Isle of Fire is a clockwork monster, adorned with factories and assembly plants for weapons of war and his own personal armada whilst Clockwork sits in his palace.<br />Planning.<br />Waiting.<br />Hating.
