Appearance: Light grey with a short black mane and tail. He is often wearing what he thinks is a stylish bow tie. He often changes the style and color depending on what's "in". His eyes are brown.

Cutie Mark: A small red rose over a gold star, symbolizing fame and luxury.

Personality: Coat Tail wants to be "the pony". Even though he is a fairly simple pony of no real consequence, he tries to emulate the upper-class of Canterlot, wanting nothing more than to be a classy, sophisticated stallion. <br />He has dreams of fame, being surrounded by celebrity friends, but no idea how he could actually achieve them.<br /><br />He is a fairly nice guy, in general, although he often looks down on those he doesn't think are as fancy as he is. He can be quite shallow at times, and often fails to realize that those who don't walk the walk or talk the talk can still be good friends.<br /><br />While not as bad as Rarity, he does try to avoid dirt. It's not the end of the world if his clothes or mane get messed up, but he'd rather not deal with it.

Backstory: Born to a fairly average family in a fairly average town, Coat always wanted to escape his average life. He and the ponies he hung out with were always reading up on the latest from Canterlot and Manehattan, trying to emulate the classiest of the classy and keeping up with all the latest fads.<br /><br />Coat has spent most of his life trying to be the coolest in the neighborhood, while fantasizing about being the coolest in the world.
