• Comet Cloudburster

    HaroldGenhi

    • Age: 19 (1021 if the time dead counts)

      Gender: Female

      Species: Pegasus

Appearance: Adding some further details to the picture:
Her tail is prehensile and can increase or decrease in length to some extent (potentially an increase or a decrease of about 13-15 inches. The plating on her wings are razor sharp and her eyes are bionic and can change shades depending on her programming. Yellow is the default, but they turn red when she enters combat.

Her tail is based on a lotus flower and is soft to the touch despite its metallic color. It is capable of condensing large quantities of water in the air to produce cloud-like formations or defensive screens. Her tail is also capable of changing her trajectory quickly giving her a distinct advantage in terms of flying proficiency

On her face are two sets of ears that not only increase the clarity and range of her hearing, but it also gives her an increase in spatial awareness around her. In essence, it would be difficult to sneak up on her. Below her ears are two antennae on each side. These are used for a great many scientific parameters including G-force readings, speed, humidity, and is a direct communication platform for programmable orders if she is in range of such a satellite.

Most of her body is still organic and the way it was before she died, but her bones in many key areas have been reinforced to allow for her quick maneuvering and her programmed purpose.

Cutie Mark: Her Cutie Mark, if not apparent, is a comet going through a cloud. Her original cutie mark was just a series of clouds, but upon her death and resurrection as a cyborg with a programmable brain, her purpose and interests changed resulting in a comet/meteor destroying the clouds that once was her Cutie Mark.

Personality: Pre-Incident: Comet was robotic in most every way though highly inquisitive to the world around her. She had vague, blurry memories about a past that she just can't seem to remember. She is compelled by her orders and they completely justified inside her mind. She is unaware of who she was before her death and with the programming in her brain she doesn't care. Despite her inquisitive nature, she still follows the orders given to her to the letter in the most efficient and callous of ways. She would admit that during conflicts she would lose all memory of the events and "wake-up" amid destruction though she still can't feel any remorse for her actions.

Post-incident: After she crashes into the Everfree, her programming goes haywire and she lose contact with her programmable communication outlet. She loses most of her memory of her time within the lab along with all the memories of how she even arrived in this strange forest. She enjoys the adventure of the forest, but when she stumbles upon a small village called Ponyville is when she changed again. She became heavily self conscious about herself as she overheard the stories of the strange monsters hiding int he Everfree. After seeing herself in the reflection of a window, she assumes that she is an unwanted Everfree monster so she returns to hiding in the Everfree. From there she takes a liking to creating cloud animals that she makes and pushes into Ponyville's sky. She gains a connection and happiness from seeing them point and ponder as to what animal they can see in the clouds. Despite this, she remains heavily lonely, taking her time talking to rocks, clouds, and trees. She desires to be viewed as a normal pony.

Backstory: Comet was not her original name. She was born to the name of Dream Weaver, a pegasus who had trouble moving physical clouds, but found she could traverse dream clouds in proximity to her. Upon her discovery, she gained a dream cloud cutie mark and would aid in giving ponies positive dreams though since it was of non-magical means, her results varied. Most of the time she enjoyed just being a background character to another ponies dream. She eventually entered a pony's dream about marrying her. When they met physically, a true connection was formed other than just their dreams and they were quick to marry.

This all changed when a conflict arose between the two princesses, causing a civil war to break out. She and her husband decided to flee to a safer location to avoid the collateral damage that the war would cause and to protect the innocence of the eyes of their to be born child. As they fled, stray magic from a resulting battle grazed Dream's wing forcing her to land and hoof the rest of the journey. Her husband joined her as they entered the Everfree Forest, hoping to reach the other end without trouble.

Sadly, this was not the case as the wild magic casting from the battle struck a nearby tree causing it to grow sporadically into a tree ent. Her husband told her to run for it as he distracted the monster knowing that he could fly to escape. Panicked, Dream picked up speed and ran towards what she hoped to be the shortest possible route through the Everfree. She barely made it a few steps before she heard a cry of pain echo from behind her. Dripping with sweat and bordering on tears, she called out to her husband only to receive silence. Forwards and backwards, to use the distraction her husband gave her to run to safety or to run back to make sure her husband was safe only managed to bring about a stronger panic.

She eventually caved in to her fears and turned around to run back toward the tree and her husband to try to save him. Rounding the corner, she stumbled upon the tree and the body of her husband impaled into one of the trees. She approached slowly, hoping he was still alive and could be saved somehow. He coughed and turned to her, an expression of happiness in his eyes as he tried to speak.

"You have to keep running for the both of us." He said weakly.

Before Dream could respond, his head drooped and a final breath of air left his lungs. She stood, broken by his side, pleading for him to breathe once more, but she knew he had passed. Taking a few steps away from her husband only made her heart ache more, but she eventually turned away tears streaming from her eyes as she ran.

Her sadness masked her progress as she ran aimlessly to get to any sort of opening or clearing out of the forest. Instead, a crack of lightning and the downpour of rain greeted her. The ground quickly turned into mud making her tired legs that much more tired though the rain soothed the burns on her wing. Her speed dropped from a run to a walk as she pressed forward trying to forget the events that had just transpired.

Eventually, she stumbled upon a rock face with a cave in it. The rain had already drenched her though the promise of a place to dry off and rest was too appetizing for her. She entered the cave and took a rest near the entrance where it was dry. The darkness of the cave behind her worried her, but she knew she had to rest.

Dreaming that night, only led to nightmares of the events that had transpired and hoping to wake from it only provided to harsher nightmare to be had.

Standing in front of her at the mouth of the cave, a large figure stood holding a bag filled with something. Dream smelled the air and flinched as the smell of death surrounded this being. It tossed the bag into the cave, his gaze never leaving Dream. When the bag hit the ground, Dream could hear the sound of a dull and fleshy impact and upon turning to look at it she quickly turned away in fear as the soft outlines of the bodies of other ponies could be seen.

"Ah, fresh pony served on doorstep while clouds give shower? Luck day. Lucky day." It muttered leaning in closer to Dream. "But pony meat need tenderized. Tenderizing fun and cure boredom."

Before Dream could react, the troll's large hands grabbed her by her front hoof and flung her out into the rain causing her to collide with the side of a tree. She felt a wave of overwhelming pain has her wing snapped and rib snapped. She rose to her feet out of pure adrenaline and attempted to run from the troll. She managed to create some distance between her and the troll, but her hooves got caught up in some creep vines causing her to trip and fall down a muddy slope. Rising slowly, she heard the heavy footfalls of the troll near her and before she could turn to see him, the solid hands wrapped around her again, crushing her broken wing and rib as she was once again flung by a laughing troll.

Escape was impossible, but she still tried to stand after each attack that left her more bruised and broken than before. She could feel her life slipping from her as she stumbled forwards in the rain before falling over. She could feel warmness surround her despite her growing colder. She turned toward the shadowy figure of the troll picking up a log and approaching her, lifting it above his head. He brought it down upon her, though it didn't kill her. Dream didn't raise her head and waited for the next attack to kill her.

Instead, a unique sound touched her ears as she heard the troll cry out in pain. Dream could barely open her eyes as she saw the area flooded with light. Turning toward the light with what focus she had left, she seen a pony approaching her quickly and picking her up slightly. She stared into the eyes of her savior and seen the familiar blue color of her husband's fur and his green mane.

It was a dream come true. She sputtered out all of her happiness.
"Thank you for saving me.... Thank you... I... I..." she stuttered out before her body went limp and she passed away.

---

Opening her eyes, a new world greeted her. She knew not what her name was or where she was, but a few memories of rain and light remained in her memory though she knew not why. Strange devices fell into the floor with a hiss before a voice filled the room from what seemed like everywhere.

"Do you know your name?"

She did not, but she tried to remember it.

"Your name?" the voice asked again after she didn't answer for some time.

"I don't remember."

She looked about the room for clues, but instead had a question of her own.

"Do you have a name?" she asked.

“My name is Creator. What do you remember?”

"Rain and shadows." She answered.

“I see. That is unfortunate, but it is better than nothing. Your name is Comet.”

The name held some familiarity with her for some reason and she assumed it must be her name. "My name is Comet." She said to herself.

After a few more questions, her purpose in life became clear. She was to destroy the abomination known as Cloudsdale to bring about peace to the empire. Upon being sent on her mission, she crashed into the ground. After she awoke, she knew of only her name. She roams the Everfree Forest hoping to find answers to her life and to avoid the judgmental glares of the other ponies who would surely view her as a monster.
