Appearance: Comrade Dimitri is very easy to spot in a large crowd. He is larger than all Equestrian ponies, and his build is very muscular. His rugged yet soft beard is what sets him apart from many others. His mane is always long. His beard always sticks with him too. The scars on his face and chest are old but clearly visible. He has a horn, but hides it constantly for he is still ashamed of being a unicorn. Either covers it with his hair, hats or a magic spell to render it invisible.<br /><br />Scars all over his body are being covered up by his jacket. He doesn't like to take off his jacket very often for that reason...unless Fluttershy asks....

Personality: Tough, Strong, Kind, helpful, relaxed, dependable.<br /><br />Used to be merciless and had no remorse for killing<br /><br />Prone to random bouts of depression, angst and rage. Caused by extreme emotional pain in his childhood. Now it's becoming easier to manage, almost gone.

Backstory: Dimitri grew up living a comfortable and enjoyable life in Moscolt, Sovestria. His parents were kind and he was the protege of the newest Chairman of the country, Lenoy Trotmir the unicorn. Trotmir picked Dimitri for he was special, a Unicorn that was born from a non-unicorn bloodline. He saw something great in Dimitri so they studied magics and other topics. A evil Stallion though was outraged at this. Jesse Stalhoof despised all unicorns except for Lenoy. He wanted to be the heir to the Chairman-ship. His long time feud with the Hammer family was bad enough. <br /><br />Eventually when Dimitri was still a colt Stalhoof held a revolution and overthrew Lenoy. Many ponies supported him for the country of Sovestria was brought up on anti-unicorn and anti-magic ideals and was like that for centuries. Stalhoof had Dimitri's parents killed and threw Lenoy in the dungeon. After his parents were killed, (he was still a incredibly young colt) Dimitri was framed for murder. In his parents will it mentioned that he go to a family friend and fortune teller. Before he could leave though the evil and new Dictator of the country captured and brutally and horridly tortured the young Dimitri for several weeks. Cutting him, beating him, doing all kinds of awful things to this young colt. Dimitri eventually broke out by killing a guard with a scalpel when one of his shackles was loose. He escaped the dungeon but with guilt and remorse, for he decided to leave Lenoy behind to save himself.<br /><br /> He retrieved his gear from his parent's house and headed to the fortune teller. The Fortune Teller said that he should go west to the coast, and then sail until he reached land where his destiny would be waiting for him, He could make a home there as he was no longer safe in Sovestria. Shortly after this he packed up his essentials and headed west into the mountains.<br /><br />He came across many towns, and villages in the expansive mountains. Some friendlier than others. Stalhoof was starting a purge of the Unicorn race, and most villages did not know of it yet. Many were being rounded up and killed, exiled, or thrown in camps. Citizens needed to prove they had no Unicorn genes in their lineage as well. Food was being heavily rationed for all during this time as well. <br /><br />After traveling the mountains for years and encountering many small towns he ended up in a harbor town called Slavstoica. Dimitri tried committing suicide many times while in the town. He failed at each attempt. He had to evade the new royal guard for if they found him he'd be sent back to Moscolt and tortured until his demise. Dimitri killed many ponies while in the town, his anger and depression made him a ticking time bomb that would send him spiraling into a horrible fury. He was mentally broken, seeing his parents dead and being horridly tortured made him snap. Dimitri met one good friend though. A friend who saved his life on many occasions from the guards and Dimitri's own hoof. After spending many years in hiding in the town he eventually got the money to buy a ship. <br /><br />He sailed west until he eventually hit land. He wound up in Equestria. The new climate affected Dimitri. The heat made him weaker, he grew skinny each month. Dimitri traveled through Equestria for months until reached the outskirts of a small town. He quickly built a small cabin on the edge of the Everfree forest for he did not know if the residents were nice. He didn't leave for several days. He was still full of anger and fear and depression. He couldn't meet new ponies. <br /><br />Dimitri, when walking around outside to get more building materials for his shack, collapsed in the middle of a field. The heat was too much. It stung, it burned, it made him ache. It was too much. He was at his breaking point. He accepted his death, and passed out. <br /><br />Upon awaking, he was in a strange home. He met the pony who saved his life. Fluttershy. Stepping out of her comfort zone, she brought Dimitri's limp body into her home, and placed ice on him to help cool him down. The two at first could not interact. Dimitri's Equestrian was lacking, but when she spoke he somehow understood. He even managed to speak in broken-Equestrian back to her after a while. They became fast friends. They told each other everything. <br /><br />Eventually Dimitri felt he was a burden to this lass, and he went back to his small cabin. Still waiting to get better so he and Fluttershy could chat. He felt a special connection to her. Without knowing, she did with him as well.<br /><br />The new arrival of Ponyville creeped out everypony. A strange cabin rather close to Fluttershy's cottage just popped up out of nowhere and questions began to rise. "What's that cabin doing there?" "Does somepony live there?" "I heard a monster lives there.". He was eventually confronted by the whole town when they, including Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash (who lead the thing) kicked his door in and accused him of being a monster. All they found was a sickly, dying, foreigner. Fluttershy burst in the home and hugged Dimitri. Saying that he was not a monster. The sincerity in Fluttershy's eyes was more than enough for them all. <br /><br />Dimitri was taken care for and made many good friends. He recovered quickly and rebuilt his muscle mass in weeks. His mind still tended to drift into depression and hatred. His drinking problem also still lingered, but he made a vow to try and cut back. He would protect his new family at all costs. He wouldn't be able to lose anypony close to him again or else the worst might happen to him. Now he's married to that Pink-Haired yellow angel with beautiful shining eyes of blue.
