Appearance: He is about normal height for a stallion and has a brown-greyish coat with a fairly long, brown mane and green eyes. He also have a small mustache and beard. He usually wears a red top-hat decorated with cogs, a red vest and a pair of googles.
Cutie Mark: Two golden cogs on metal wings(made by SalomMuffin)
Personality: He is a quick-witted fellow and very curious when facing something new. He always tries to be a gentlecolt(especially when facing the ladies) and he is also extremely fascinated with all sorts of machinery as it is connected with his mastery of machines(but only steampowered ones mind you :3 ) . He is always looking for adventure, excitement and new upgrades for his beloved ship.

He will often go extreme lengths to save mares he don't even know(this particular behavior has put him a lot of trouble in his days and comes from losing his beloved and blaming himself for it. For more details, see Backstory).

Living as an "adventurer", smuggler and captain of an airship has taught him many things including stealing, pick pocketing, safe cracking, and

He can do anything to achieve his goals, but he is true to his word and would never abandon his friends. He tries to make the right decisions and

He is very talkative(some would say to the brink of too much and would be absolutely right) and is sometimes found talking to himself (which he often counters with "it's the only way to get a intelligent answer").
Backstory: He didn't always go by the name Copper Lock. When he was small he lived the good life. His parents were rich and was a part of the higher parts of society, but all this changed when his dad was strangely accused of murder and then mysteriously died. Their old friends abandon them quickly and he and his mother was forced to live on the street. His mother couldn't handle it and died, both of hunger and sorrow for her husband.

He was taken in by a clock maker who caught the small foal stealing some clocks and other things from his shop. The old stallion saw all the sorrow in the eyes of the young pony and decided to take him in as a apprentice and foster son. He was also the one who named him "Copper Lock".

Young Copper was very depressed at first and had a hard time finding trust in the old stallion. He often tried to run away from the shop but always returned. After some time, he began to see the old clock maker as the dad he never had and he would do anything for him. He also became extremely fascinated with all the clockwork and soon became too master the art of cogs.

He discovered his cutie mark one day when he worked in the shop and the electricity went out and he constructed a machine driven by steam and cogs which then made the shop the only place in the neighborhood with light and warmth.

When he became 20, two wonderful things happened. He began the construction of his lifework and met the mare of his life. This mare ment everything for him and they shared their hopes and dreams with each other. It was also with her he started the construction of his lifework: A flying ship driven by steam and cogs. But in an accident involving a unstable platform, the mare he loved felled and broke her neck. Copper always blamed(and still does)himself for this and he went into a deep depression.

He snapped out of it, only when the old stallion that had cared for him was stricken by the deadly disease called old age. But before died, he made Copper promise him that he would complete the ship and live life to his fullest. Copper Lock held his promise and finished the ship and set out to look for adventure. He never forgot the mare he loved though and named his vessel after her, "Bellarose". He treasures the ship highly and becomes furious if someone would damage the ship.
