Cutie Mark: A pencil with a rose wrapped around it. It shows her passion for art, drawing particularly, mostly of nature.

Personality: She is quiet usually. She only speaks when spoken to and usually doesn't approach others unless the need is great enough. She values her privacy and usually doesn't make friends. That's not to say she wont EVER make friends, she just wont go out of way to make them. She carries her sketchbook and pencil with her at all times, in case she sees something that must be drawn. She is very passionate about her views, opinions and work, and will lash out at anyone who attacks either.

Backstory: Crystal was born and raised in Canterlot, and at an early age began drawing, as most little fillies do. But she never outgrew it, and actually made great progress with her drawings. At age 8, she earned her cutie mark when she found what she really wanted to draw: Nature. She drew a rose for a project, and the teacher was blown away by the quality. Since then, she has taken several art classes and bought her own sketchbook and supplies to take with her wherever she went. Her parents barely noticed, however, as they constantly went on vacations, barely seeing her. That's when she met Nexus, at age 12, when she needed a sitter. She was scared of him at first, but after their first day together, the two became fast friends. She saw him as a father figure, in absence of her real father. Nexus always complimented her art, pinning them up and even taking a few for himself. Even after she became old enough to look after herself, they would still visit and hang out. He gave her guidance as a young one, and to this day loves him like a father.
