Dagghart
By Krashface
Age: ancient (3000 years ca.)
Gender: Male
Species: Non-Pony
Appearance:
An enormus, dark-blue scalled dragon, with a pointy, crocodile like muzzle. His eyes are compleatly white, with dark, purple ooze grinding down his cheeks. His horns are shaped into a C form, pointing behind his head, that is covered into roots that looks like long black hair. His body is consumed by darkness, and scales covers no more a good part of his slender, decrepit arms. Also, he is very malnourished, both by the curse that weighs on him, and by the time he spended alone, without food. His wings can sustain him in flight for really short traits, and are good only to glide, dodge and blow away opponents. his hind legs are covered in roots, making him crawl miserably.

Of his great, iron armor, remains only a distorted remnants of it. the cest plaques have gashes, and those that covers his belly are irregular, ready to fall apart. His arms are protected by root-covered rerebraces and vambrace (of corse, those roots are the only thing that make tose parts don't fall) and on his hands he takes four golden rings, of which one have a ruby and one an emerald. Tassets, attached to a iron belt, protects his weakened legs.

His fire breath is purple, and can summon dark, blood colored crystals.

Personality:
Feral, scary and relentless. This beast, the last representative of the First Kin, is the lowest form of what the dragons were once.
However, in its (rare and short) moments of partial lucidity, Dagghart shows a dreary and noble nature, but also snoby, wide-ranging and extremely racist towards the current ponies and dragons. Especialy this last ones, who see like little pups in the hooves of the ponies.

Backstory:
Before Equestria, the two sisters, and even the three tribes, to govern were the first dragons, beings of titanic stature and with scales hard like steel. These dragons ruled for a long time the ponies wisely, helping them to create their own kingdoms, but unfortunately, over time, a mysterious darkness grew in the draconian lords, which led them to transform into feral beasts and so devastating the future Equestrian. Not everyone, however, soccumbed to corruption, and so it went to create the First Kin, a council of seven nobles dragons that would help to defeat, with the support of others, including ponies, their wretched brothers. This, before the coming to the Seventh Throne of Dagghart.

Son of the great King Kalantir, Daggart was a weakling dragon, less muscular than the rest of the council or of his kind, but had on his side the tenacity and hardening of his father, though there were signs of darkness in him. His strength, however, was (and still resides) in the fact that he was a wizard, a rarity in dragons, often relying on brute force and breaths, and this led him to find new formulas, aided by equestrian wizards more endowed with Time, so much to create a library so large that it occupies at least a quarter of the Fortress of the Crescent Moon (a fortress hidden under a mountain). His studies gave him access to extraordinary knowledge, in almost every field, from medicine, to science, to engineering and to enchantment. Knowledge which he used, however, for the war. The so-called Draconian Wars are an event that is still enveloped by the mystery in the Chronicles of Equestria, and little is known about what has triggered it, but one of the most plausible hypotheses is that Dagghart has surrendered to the influence of darkness and began to attacking the kingdoms of the ponys without warning, ignoring the peace accords and infuriating the Five Kings (Solaris, King of the Sun, Gherefinus, Ruler of Storms, Coldbite, Ghost of the snows, Gor the Giant and Selenea, Dominator of the Moon). The war lasted for an entire century, and in that time new species of dragons were born, who allied themselves with the ponies and succeeded into stopping the plans of Dagghart, now corrupted by the darkness. In the end, as a punishment, the Fortress was sealed with the now corrupt Dragons of the First Kin, their servants and Dagghart, and then forgot.

As centuries passed, hunger and thirst began to make themselves heard, until they were left alone in two: Dagghart and the Nightmare.
The dragon's terror was so strong that he sought in all ways a solution to not die in that infernal darkness, illuminated by omnius, cold-blooded fires in the most absolute silence, broken by the cries of the lonely dragon. In the end, at the mercy of his forces, a voice in his head suggested such a sluggish way that made the dragon shiver: if he wanted to live, he had to consume his long passed brothers. This act, considered impure and blasphemus, gave him immortality, but cursed him forever, making him regret to a beast and making the darkness inside of him grow, making roots pread on him.
Until, one day, a group of ponies didn't open a gap in the fortress, coming in front of the consumed Dagghart, who, when awakened by his bestial delirium, exchanged them for his servants. The ponies, on the one hand, took advantage of this, exploring the great library of the fortress and finding long lost knowledges, and on the other gave rise to a secret cult.

Since then, Dagghart reigns in his small empire, ignorant of what has happened over the centuries. Although, at present, it seems to be organizing a great return.
