Appearance: Damien: A dark grey Alicorn with a dark red mane and tail, he is slightly taller than your average pony, has grey eyes, and is never found without his dark red cape.<br /><br />Ragnarok: A pure black Alicorn with a mane, tail and wings made of fire. His Cutie Mark (If it could be called that) is the world on fire. He has orange-red eyes the same color as the fire that is his mane, tale, and wings, that also have a red and black mist coming out of them. He also has silver armor similar to that of Nightmare Moon's.

Cutie Mark: A red shield with a grey-black sword on it. Representing his fighting ability and his drive to protect those that can't protect themselves.

Personality: A brave young soul who was once the leader of a rebellion against King Sombra a thousand years ago. A valuable ally in a fight he is incredibly skilled with his special weapon, the Guardian's Wrath. A legendary sword that can change into a magical energy rifle by sliding the guard about a third of the way up the blade. He strongly supports what he believes to be right and never backs down when his honor is challenged. He's also known to be a tad impatient, arrogant, and quick to anger, mainly when anything bad is said about his parents, who died working in King Sombra's crystal mines. But he is also compassionate, mainly towards his friends and family. And will show mercy to even the most wretched of enemies if he believes it to be right.<br /><br />His flip-side, Ragnarok.<br /><br />The opposite of Damien, he is pure evil and has no mercy. A side effect of Sombra placing a piece of himself inside Damien when the Princesses destroyed him*, he has all of Sombra's powers and more, he has the ability to destroy almost anything and everything around him with fire when he unleashes his inner rage. But he can only take control when Damien is off his guard. Also, Ragnarok can ascend to his purest form when Damien has been killed, giving him complete control over the actions of his host.<br /><br />*Damien was the leader of a resistance to bring down King Sombra and free the Empire. When king Sombra defeated Damien and his friends in combat, he turned them into crystal statues and kept them as trophies. But when the Princesses destroyed him, a part of his soul latched onto Damien and used him as a kind of horcrux. Also, Ragnarok has a tendency to talk inside Damien's head at the worst possible times, mainly when he is in battle. Usually throwing him off and distracting him.

Backstory: Since I have been told that my writing skills aren't exactly legendary, I'm putting it like this.<br /><br />Long story short:<br /><br />Damien was living in the Crystal Empire with his adoptive family, King Sombra takes over and ruins everything. Damien and his friends start the resistance, wage a war, (with help from a few remaining adults) and eventually find King Sombra and engage in battle with him. Sombra wins (even though they gave him quite the hard time), and turns them into crystal statues. <br /><br />Luna and Celestia come along later, and kick Sombra's butt. As he is being destroyed, a small part of his soul attaches itself to Damien and later becomes Ragnarok.<br /><br />One-thousand years later...<br /><br />Damien and co. are freed from their crystal prison, and attempt to live normal lives.<br /><br />The end.
