Appearance: Dark Wing is a Bat Pony, He has Dark Grey coat, golden eyes, two tone purple mane, and bat wings.

Cutie Mark: Dark Wing's Cutie mark is a shield with two bat wings behind it.

Personality: DarkWing is a very protective pony, particularity of his young brother Paladin. He can be stern, but empathetic at the same time. He tries to set a roll model for his brother and the other guards. He can be very fearful about his and his brothers past getting out to the other guards.<br /><br />He loves history, learning, and bettering himself and his brother.<br /><br />He dose have a lighter side that shows on occasion, sometimes pulling a prank on his brother or commanding officer.<br /><br />His loyalty is second to none, though sometimes to whom or what may be brought into question, as he would fallow Luna to the ends of Equestria, no matter what.

Backstory: DarkWing lived a rough life as a colt. He was born of the Crystal Mountain Bat Ponies. He worked hard as a young member colony, he and his brother learned to work as a team to accomplish anything that they said their minds to. One day he fallowed his younger brother as a mysterious pony with both the wings of pegasus and horn of a unicorn appeared. <br /><br />Dark Wing listened to this new pony who pledged to help them, swearing his life to whom he discovered to be Princess Luna. <br /><br />Dark Wing and his brother worked hard to make it into the Royal Military Academy, eventually making into the Lunar Guard so he could fulfill his promise he made to himself and the princess of the night.<br /><br />In the academy, he gained a reputation as putting Luna before any of his other assigned tasks. Many of the other guards in training would give the brothers strange looks. This did not bother him, till the one day his loyalty was questioned by another recruit. He responded that he was loyal to the Princess of the Night. When that guard accused him of being a Nightmare Moon sympathizer, he punched him right in the muzzle. It would not be the last time, as he defended Princess Luna's honor. <br /><br />He would eventually be given the rank of Sargent in the Lunar Guard, second only to his brother, the Captain.
