Appearance: A dark purple pony with a gold colored mane, he has seven scars on his chest, in the shape of the Big Dipper constellation. Usually wears a cloak and rarely ever reveals himself. Usually has a solemn look and sorrowful eyes. Slightly taller than an average pony, with excellent muscle tone from years of his training.

Cutie Mark: Cutie mark is bright, blue star to represent the North Star.

Personality: Very solemn and quite. He is a pony of action rather than words. Treats victory with humility and treats defeat with even greater humility. He prefers not to speak. When he sees another pony in need, he will immediately drop what he is doing and help. Absolutely detests evil. When fighting an opponent that has done great wrong, mercy ceases to exist in his heart. He knows that wherever he goes, chaos follows, so he prefers to not be around others.

Backstory: Orphaned as a newborn pony from another land that was ravaged by war, his mother sent him away along with two other young colts. When they reached equestria via boat, master goutetsu, the then successor to the divine hoof of the North Star, took them in and began to train them all from a very young age. Eventually, because dirge was the one who didn't let the ultimate martial arts style's power go to his head, was named the 62nd successor to the North Star lineage. This did not sit well with the other three, ( as goutetsu had adopted one more from equestria) and a struggle for the right to be successor is still underway, as they all went seperate ways at the behest of their master. Along his travels, dirge has encountered many evil ponies, such as bandits, and dispatched them thoroughly, ruthlessly, and efficiently. To mark his successor status, he marked his own chest with the scars. This started the legend of the terror of the North Star, an unforgiving and avenging pony that abhorres evil. He still seeks to help the world and to settle the dispute of successor. He believes he is equestrian, and has no clue that he came from the land of shura. The martial arts he learned involved the use of body energy, aura, and pressure points. When a pony that is evil challenges dirge... The result is very bloody indeed.
