Appearance: Volt is a blue stallion Pegasus, slightly shorter than other ponies but still a normal one for size and weight.<br /><br />His mane and tail are brown on the outer side, while the inner side is yellow, the same electric yellow of his cutie mark and his eyes.<br /><br />His cutie mark is an artificial lighting with two electron stars.<br /><br />Later in his life he was a cyborg for a while, he replaced his right eye with a bionic one, both of half of his back legs, all the front arms, his wings (with some small jet powered ones since his weight was greater now) and his chest covered with a metallic exoskeleton.<br /><br />(all pictures at the "other" section of this page, last paragraph)<br /><br />He doesn’t like to stay without clothes very much, he usually wears an old and ruined black leather jacket<br /><br />When he works, Volt usually straps some elastic black insulating tape on all of his legs, to both prevent sweat dripping on his devices and to hold his Multimeter and tools.<br />

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is an artificial lighting with two electron stars.

Personality: Volt is pretty much easy going with everypony, he just hates changelings and he can’t trust them since the incident.<br /><br />He may try to look cold and calculator, after all, he still is an engineer, but he can’t deny to himself some fun or a party with friends.<br /><br />He is usually cold blooded, trying to plan more steps away before acting, but on critical situations, he can easily lose his rational mind and acts on instincts.<br /><br />He can easy stand an offence and simply ignore it.<br /><br />If he has a friend to care of, he will never step back, willing to lose his life for the other, without any second thought.<br /><br />He knows that he is not a special pony and that he is pretty much worthless, but still he will try to act optimistic if somepony is in need, seeing a way out in everything bad that happens and trying to cheer up like he can. Hope is the last thing that dies for Volt.<br /><br />The “evil side” of his extreme bipolarism/schizophrenics is extremely hot blooded, only acting on impulse and on anger, he is sadistic, and sees everypony just as a tool or a toy and he will not hesitate to kill; Volt used to see the other himself on mirrors and he usually talked to him, begging to behave, after Bliss intervention Volt never saw his dark side again.<br />

Backstory: Doctor Electron Volt is a Pegasus, born and raised in Cloudsdale having a pretty normal and happy infancy. <br /><br />He is an average flyer and a good weather manager.<br /><br />His cutie mark is an artificial lighting with two electron stars, he got his cutie mark as a young colt while visiting his father’s, Doc. Electron Hertz, laboratory, he was looking at a Tesla coil running at high power, being safe inside a Faraday cage, but the cage broke down. Volt got hit by the coil stream but he survived, both gaining his cutie mark and discovering his special talent: electricity. <br /><br />He is able to gather it from lightning and static electricity, store it inside him like a capacitor and then use this to power devices, when he is “charged” his cutie mark usually glows.<br /><br />Volt doesn’t have any another particular physical ability, he can build devices for almost anything he needs, mainly based on high voltage, even weapons, his signature and favorite one is a Tesla coil saddle; with that he can turn into a big deal for anypony and anything but, without, Volt is a terrible fighter, pretty much sucking at hoof-free fighting and everything else.<br /><br />He studied at the Cloudsdale weather management university where he got his degree in electronic and weather management devices engineering .<br /><br />He worked for the Cloudsdale weather factory, he then was moved into a secret research lab located in the Everfree forest, Built by the Cloudsdale Weather Company and aimed to develop a new generation of soldiers with DNA mutations and cybernetic implants. <br /><br />Here Volt was forced to do terrible experiments and torture above fillies and colts, slowly he started to enjoy all of this suffer and pain, gaining a sadistic and violent personality.<br /><br />In the lab he met his future best friend: Nightstrike, a trained assassin unicorn which Volt tested on since his birth and accelerated grow; Volt being the murder and Nighstrike being the guinea pig, the two hated each other, during one of the frequent mental breakdown of Volt, Nighstrike used a mind clearing spell on him, he used this usually for interrogations of tortured ponies.<br /><br />(characheter link and pic at the "other" section, look at the bottom) <br /><br />This spell had the side effect to split the mind of Volt in two pieces, one being the true Volt, the other being the sadistic murder side.<br /><br />Volt struggled a lot to try to control his other personality, calling him “a monster inside my brain”, Nightstrike was finally able to know the real Volt and after a while they became best friends; together with other two ponies here, his assistant and a test subject, they were finally able to escape from the facility, partially destroying it, and turning off the CWC future soldier plan.<br /><br />After the breakout they were aided by a mysterious beaked doctor pony: Icarus.<br /><br />Nightstrike started working as royal spy and sapper, mainly against changelings, refusing to kill any other ponies but changellings like has was forced to do when he was under the CWC control. <br /><br />Volt instead had to deal with his bipolarism problem for the rest of his life, slowly learning how to tame himself (even if sometimes he still lose control, especially on situations of extreme stress, pain and danger).<br /><br />He started to work in the Ponyville electric dam, turning it in pretty much what is an home and in his private lab; the immense electric power generated by the dam aids him in this.<br /><br /> Volt anyway doesn’t stay closed there all the time, sometimes Nightstrike ask him his help on his “contracts”, mainly against changelings hives, since his weaponry and contraptions are a good aid for this job; with the bits earned on those contracts he can continue his researches.<br /><br />During one of the attacks against a changeling hive, the entire cave collapsed, Nighstrike was able to escape but Volt didn’t make it through, when he was finally freed by the rocks he realized that he lost both his front hooves, his wings, his right eye and half of the back arms.<br /><br />Nighstrike brought the half-dead Volt to the dam, hoping to save him somehow. Volt with the past knowledge working for the CWC, was able to turn himself into an half-machine, rebuilding with metal what he lost, becoming more powerful and dangerous since he now had a gauss cannon integrated in his left hoof, but losing the possibility to see other ponies much, since his new horrible aspect could terrorize the entire town.<br /><br /> Some years after the incident, Volt was in vacation on the mountain near Ponyville, he there met his future friends.<br /><br />For a series of unlucky events he was bitten by the wolf, turning him for a while into a blood thirsty vampire pony; after being saved by Bliss that fought his evil personality inside him, Volt not only was free from his dark side, but also the virus transmitted by Seth slowly started to “repair” his body.<br /><br />Hardly managing to survive with his friends and losing all of his metallic contraptions, Volt returned the free blue stallion he was before, gaining the best company of friends he could ever dream of and starting a new life, ready to be written in the pages of his soul.<br />
