Cutie Mark: <p>
Contrary to what someone could assume, Rockshield's cutie mark is a pike with a broken rock. His talent, before choosing to become a dragonslayer, was to dig and breaking through the stones in the mine his family worked in. Of corse, the skulls of his scaly archenemies are incredibly hard to break, but not as those he was used to work on !

Personality:
<p>
Despite his intimidating appearance, Rockshild is a friendly giant pony with a kind heart, who's extremely loyal to who he befriend. He's also a romantically fool, always dreaming of some princess to save and so living a happy life with her, although he actually don't like nobility and would be really happy to find someone as his origins as a poor rock miner.
</p>
<p>
Speaking of nobility, his brave actions gave him the title of Lord, but despite that, he already told everyone he've met to never call him like that, and referring him as "dragonslayer" or with his name. He have a huge conflict with nobles of Canterlot, mostly given by his past, when his family worked for one of them.
</p>
<p>
Also, he really get mad at the sight of a dragon. He'll do anything to kill one or those ponies who follow them. Of corse, if the dragon reveal to not been a treat or the pony who protect them is unoffensive, hell'just warn them to never step in front of him.

Backstory:
<p>
Long ago, during the first Empire of the Celestial Sisters, the danger of dragons was the worst of all Equestria. After the first great draconic war, Celestia and Luna founded an order devoted to hunting the wildest and most dangerous dragons, and later to the hunt for other abominations: the Order of the Radiant Sun; here, all ponies who wanted to make a difference could be trained to the best to become, one day, Dragonslayers, a title comparable to that of a noblepony in ancient times, but many abandoned this career for fear or for the neglecting exercises and practices to which they had to undergo. All but one of the most famous among them: Rockshield.

<p>
Son of Granite Hoof and Siderite Tale, Rockshield grew up as a miner, an activity involving his parents and his two sisters, a hard and tiring job, made even more difficult by the owner of the mine, a noble of New Canterlot (which is now Upper Canterlot, between the castle and the lower part of the mountain, destroyed once by dragons during the war) who gave little time of recover and a really low salary. Over time, the young Rockshield became an excellent miner, so much that he could compete with at least five of his strongest companions. One day, a dragon collapsed the mine, leaving only Rockshield, one of his sisters and a few other miners safe. No survivors were found in the days that followed.

<p>
The early years in the Order proved to be hard but profitable, and his extraordinarily monstrous force allowed him to kill many dragons and, sometimes, evil creatures, as well as become one of the top ranking of the Dragonslayers. Over the years, he met many of the great heroes who in the future would become the stuff of legends, including Starswril, with whom linked an important bond of friendship, and the two Celestial Sisters themselves, which helped him find the dragon who destroyed the mine. The story that made him famous among all the members of the Order was one of the epic battles against his sworn enemy: Dagghart, the Great draconic Warlock. During the clash, his old ax surrendered to the dark magic of the mighty dragon, and the pony found himself struggling with a giant rock. Hit after hit, the rock began to take the rogue shape of a large shield, and to absorb the very magic of the dragon. In the end, at the expense of the forces, both the dragon and his opponent fell to the ground, exhausted, and were taken away by their comrades.

Since then, the stone shield became his most powerful weapon and better defense, besides making believe others that his name was just a nickname given by some bards. The battles were many, and the dragons fallen under his shield even more, and so a legendary warrior was born. A warrior of which, however, the fate isn't known: after the last war between the equestrian and the dragons, Rockshield disappeared into nothingness, and rumors of what happened to him are many and too incredible at times to be real; Some say he have retired with another of the Dragonslayer, his lover Spicey Sting from Saddle Arabia. Others think it's dead, devoured by a stronger dragon than he was. A voice, however, tells that someone has evoked him in a distant time, where peace and harmony dominate Equestria, and now lives in a comfortable life and battles against new terrible opponents with new and powerful friends.

Who knows, maybe all of this stories are real !
