Appearance: Wings suspended upon sinew, fangs, serrated teeth, this uncommon specimen exhibits the profile of a "bat-pony". Her mane and tail are disheveled masses of dark red, with black strands fading from the prime color and into pure black. Her coat is a pale, white-gray shade. Her eyes are a dark shade of magenta which glows a sickening red in the sun.

Cutie Mark: A (very appropriate) dust-devil; Dust devil's cutie mark represents power, direction, passion, but mostly freedom. The unbridled strength of a gathered dust-devil plowing through everything in it's path.

Personality: Dust devil is a free-spirit, an individualistic believer in freedom and is prone to fits of anger when pressed. She's very energetic and quick to act, but not without a direction; she's very perceptive and keen - a trait commonly associated to experienced Pegasi fliers. She believes in the freedom to make her own path, and hates being told what to do. She's quite intelligent however, and when matched with certain ponies can become a charismatic figure because of her level-headed personality and decisiveness.

Backstory: Deep beneath Equestria, a world filled with cavernous depths with a wide berth of natural resources is teeming with life. Diamond dogs, changelings, those but skim the surface.<br /><br />Dust devil arrived to Equestria from below; an outcast to whatever society that gave rise to this pony. Different values and social norms have led her to become somewhat different (physically and otherwise) compared to the dwellers of the surface, something she is still struggling to digest. Her appearance, imposing as it may seems to some, coupled with a poor eye-sight during daylight (her eyes actually glow red in the sunlight due to serious sensitivity to it), led many to react unfavorably to her. So it seems that thus far, the only side she can truly belong to is her own.
