Gender: Male

Species: Earth Pony

Appearance: When not wearing his armor, he is a tan earth pony that has a short tail, close cropped mane, and a beard/goatee. Even when not wearing his full armor, he usually wears his protective chest plate, and a curious gold chain.

Cutie Mark: Crosshairs: They symbolize his proficiency with ranged weapons (especially snipers) though he is quite deadly with (and without) just about any weapon.

Personality: He is quiet, calm, and very strong (mentally, emotionally, and physically). He is usually good tempered, but if he is pushed to the breaking point, Dusty will usually lose himself in a fit or rage either attacking or yelling at anyone around him (depending on the situation). He believes in the greater good of all ponies, and if sacrifices must be made, then they shall be made. He will often speak bluntly, explaining the truth as he sees it with little regard for others feelings. He prefers to follow orders and will usually do as he's told without question unless he believes the order will do more harm then good. If that is the case, he will either ignore the order and do his own thing, or ask for clarification/ask for the order to be changed, depending on his opinion of the pony that gave the order. If Dusty thinks that the pony in charge is no longer fit to lead, he will step up himself and offer his leadership to those that wish to follow him. If no one will follow him, he'll quietly leave to either join another group or simply start trying to accomplish his own goals, whatever they may be.

Backstory: His past is a mystery. All that is known is that his parents died when he was just a colt. He has a small gold chain he wears around his neck that was given to him by his parents before their death. It is known how he got his cutie mark. He joined the military and earned it on his first visit to the shooting range when he made a shot that no recruit should've been able to make. This instantly earned him recognition around the barracks, and got him the nickname "dead shot" from his peers. <br />In his later years, it is public knowledge that he joined the 1st Recon as a sniper, joining the other sure shots of the NCR. Later in his life, Dusty left 1st Recon to join the Veteran Rangers, a division made up of only the most elite and deadliest ponies in the NCR. He was given the iconic "Black Armor" and a place among the ponies that made up the stuff of legend. <br />Eventually Dusty left the military, returning the armor, and hired himself out as a soldier of fortune. He worked hard and eventually earned a reputation as one of the deadlier and more expensive mercs on the market.<br />Thoughout his adventuring, he was eventually able to get his hoofs on as new set of armor similar to but slightly better then his old pair he had in the military, along with a Bowie knife by traveling the lonesome road.
