She does this until the victim either apologizes for their acts, or dies by refusing to.

      Backstory: Elaysia Hornbark.
A mystical pony who looks after the woods of Equestria's forests.

Her horn is made out of bark and thus fragments easily. as with trees, though, it always seem to grow back, as she has been spotted with both a fragmented horn and a whole one. How she can do this is unknown.

Her name Elaysia Hornbark comes from the first pony who spotted her, one Elaysia Redheart. The name Hornbark comes from the fact that her horn is very reminiscent to the texture and appearance of that which bark from a tree is made of.

Her magic doesn't flow from the horn but from the antlers on her head, as have been sighted by numerous ponies. It is suspected that the horn is merely just an heritage from the pony race that she belongs to. How magic can flow through her antlers is unknown.

With her magic, she caretakes for the many great forests of Equestria. Before she was rarely seen by common pony eyes, but after Redheart's spotting of her, it has increased significantly.

Her hide is like that of the bark of a tree, colour-wise, while the hue of her mane is like the needles of coniferous and the leaves of deciduous, thus making her blend in with the nature of Equestria's greens very easily. Many mistake her for being just a common deer when spotted, due to her deer-like features, while others have been able to catch a glimpse of her fluorescent pink eyes. Her glimmering eyes have been described as "mysterious, unique, and otherworldy."

No one knows if she's part of a unique species of ponykind, or if she's the result of something otherworldly, unbeknown to ponykind. She's described to be as an inverse siren, guiding ponies that has gotten lost into any of the great forests of Equestria and lead them home to familiar grounds. How she knows the forests with such pinpoint accuracy is unknown; so is her ability to mysteriously appear on several places at once, containing ponies whom has strayed away into unfamiliar ground. This has been documented several
times by experts investigating the case of Elaysia Hornbark.

She has no ill motives, it is believed; only ones of justice. She guides lost ponies in forests back to ground that is familiar to them. She takes care of Equestria's forests by raining down justice on any and all ponies that wishes to destroy or otherwise unsettle the habitants of the Equestrian greens, such as terrorizing little critters and destroying forest vegetation such as tree branches and mushrooms. Ponies behaving in such ill-manners in Equestria's forests have fallen victim to a disease that has been named as "Hornbark's Syndrome".

Various symptoms such as nausea, weakening of body-mass, cold-sweating, and an almost everlasting sense of dread has been known to hit the victims that has threatened the forests of Equestria in any way. Interesting to note is that the flora and fauna of the forest turns onto the victim as well: rabbits jump onto the victims legs and gnaws on them, grass and moss feels slimy and sticky to
the victim, hindering him/her in his/her tracks, dirt gets a mud-like substance which the victim often will step on and fall into, etc.

It is believed that this is caused by Hornbark chanting magic with her antlers, as victims of the Hornbark's Syndrome has seen her antlers glowing with magic of a pink shade shortly before experiencing the effects of Hornbark's Syndrome. How she is able to manipulate the wildlife of the forests and cause physical, as well as psychical, harm to the victims of Hornbark's Syndrome, is unknown. It is believed that she either knows a spell that is unbeknown to unicorns of today, or that she is some kind of half-alicorn, that is able to manipulate her surroundings in the forest areas of Equestria very much like how Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are able to bring forth the sun respectively the moon everyday of the year, but only has the power of magic at her disposal and not the ability to fly like an actual alicorn can.

There is no known cure for Hornbark's Syndrome. In 99% of the case, the amount of pain and suffering the victims are going through from the disease makes them plead for mercy and apologize for their evil deeds towards Equestria's forest areas, and shortly after the pain fades away quickly, and then swears to never do unjust actions towards any forest life ever again, according to reports.

Victims has described her to be the sight of a monster beyond nightmares worth when subjected

to Hornbark's Syndrome, images that still haunt them long after they have remedied themselves

of the disease. Only after months of long and intensive psychological therapy have the victims

of Hornbark's Syndrome been fully cured, though some have been able to fall back to her morbid

imagery after terrifying or upsetting events occurring to them. Experts of psychological

therapy are working hard to find a more effective and waterproof cure to Hornbark's syndrome.

The remaining 1% who refuses to apologize for their actions?
They have never been heard from again. Experts believe that Hornbark have slayed those

unfortunate victims, though no bodies have been found from any of those cases as of yet.

Who Elaysia Hornbark is continues to perplex experts. She has no evil motives, and she only

serves for justice from investigations of her behavior. Photography of her there are none of

currently; all that is known of her is the descriptions of ponies who have happened to spot

her, and it's unknown if the artistic renditions of her are of great accuracy or not. Ponies

who have been guided home by her speaks of her as a beautiful wooden fairy, a pony whose

deer-like features is unlike anything they have ever seen.

Victims of Hornbark's Syndrome, however, describe her as a demon with features varying from

different descriptions. Some say she has long fangs and tongue, eyes bloodshot with pupils

that links to traumatizing images stored in their memory. Others say she is tall and faceless,

and muffled moans unintelligible and uncoherent sentences that makes the victim have troubles

breathing correctly. Other says she is a tentaculous monster with several eyes, descriptions

ranging from 6 to 38 individual eyes, coupled with a long, sterile smile making them shiver by

the mere sight of her. If Hornbark is a shapeshifter or is just projecting these images into

her victims is unknown.

There has been much learned from Elaysia Hornbark in the past, but there's also a lot more

still to learn from her. Whether she is truly a new species of ponies or a half-alicorn, how

she is able to seemingly duplicate herself and guide ponies lost from the woods home with

pinpoint accuracy, how she is able to cause Hornbark's Syndrome and if she has any true

motives behind it, and much much more. Experts are working hard to analyze her everyday, as

sightings of her increase in numbers.

Will we ever know truly who she is? Only time will tell.
