Cutie Mark: An emerald with a keyhole. <br /><br />Emerald Glare is meant to keep the secrets of the Glow Gem Garden.

Personality: Pious, manipulative, jealous. Doesn't talk much, unless she's gossiping.

Backstory: Emerald Glare is Glitter Moon's mother. <br /><br />Her family has tended the Glow Gem Gardens for generations. She's proud (perhaps a little too proud) to be running them with her husband, Crimson Ruby. <br />When she was younger she was extremely jealous of her sister, Azure Eclipse, who was famous in Hollow Shades for journeying to other lands and delivering gems to very important ponies and dragons throughout Equestria. She eventually took advantage of an attack from evil forces and framed her sister, saying that she was a servant of Nightmare Moon. Emerald Glare got the ponies of Hollow Shades to banish Azure. <br /><br />Nowadays, Emerald spends her time gossiping with other mares around town, and doing her best to hide her winged daughter Glitter Moon from the rest of the "respectable ponies" she calls her friends.
