Appearance: A rather dull looking crystal pony, a dark grey coat with a crystal covering that looks course and bumpy. He has a milky white mane the color of clouded quartz. The one stunning feature he has are rather brilliant emerald eyes, they are sharp, intelligent and unfriendly.

Personality: Untrusting and harsh Emery Egress doesn't have many friends, he prefers the quiet emptiness of the Crystal Empires maintenance tunnels. While this his normal behavior he does have a strong sense of duty and a soft spot for anypony that truly needs help and is never able to walk away from a crying foal without trying something to cheer them up.

Backstory: While an untrusting and abrasive pony, Emery Egress was essential in the downfall of King Sombra. Emery works as a maintenance pony in the under city and tunnels of the Crystal Empire; he's not a pony of particularly strong magic but he has a unique talent. Emery Egress' can use his magic on crystals to create portals large enough for ponies to enter and come out a different crystal nearby. During King Sombra's reign Emery used his unique ability and vast knowledge of the empires underground to help other ponies avoid capture and to escape the empire entirely.<br /><br />The ponies that Emery helped escape went and sought the Royal sisters, who then come to the empire and defeated Sombra. Emery himself had chosen to remain behind, there were ponies he felt would only be "lost in those damn tunnels forever" without him. As a result he disappeared with the Crystal Empire as well, when the empire returned he went back to his simple job working maintenance in the tunnels.
