• Evans

    Meirno

    • Age: 43

      Gender: Male

      Species: Earth Pony

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark is the Maltese Cross, the widely-accepted badge of the fire service. Running parallel to the ground is a red stripe, signifying the blood and lives lost on duty and the sacrifice all emergency responders make day to day.

Personality: Evans is an old pony. Quiet, scruffy and well broken in you could say. But don't let the elderly act catch you off guard. At the same time, he can be the most caring pony you could know. Willing to go well out of his way and comfort zone to help those in need. He tends to remain quiet in a social environment, more willing to listen than the desire to talk. He puts himself in his peers' shoes when they speak, trying to get to know what they're feeling at a personal level.

Backstory: Raised up by a dysfunctional family of five, he moved in with one of his friends at a young age. A family of kind ponies, their values always closest to their family and those who come in to it. He got his start by his friends father, hanging out with the large pony at the fire station whenever he worked.

That is when the interest in firefighting sparked in the young, influential pony. One night at the fire house, the two were hanging out in the kitchen when their tones went off for another call. At the time, Evans wasn't a part of the fire department, just well known among the members.

On their way out, they offered Evans a spot on the wagon so he could go watch them work. They arrived to some poor ponies house, which was fully involved with smoke and flames. Two ponies, in gear, rushed in the house with a hose to try and save what was left of the fillies house. Moments later there was a mayday call over the radio systems, as they had both gotten stuck in the floor. With no mutual aid on scene the young Evans did the first thing he could; He rushed in to the house to try and save his two friends. They had made it to the back side of the house, source of the fire being from the kitchen. He began to pull the two hurt ponies from the house, his adrenaline filling his system as they came from the front door. He was covered in soot from head to hoof. Hours passed as the fire was finally knocked down and all the items from the blaze that could be salvaged were pulled outside.

Later that night at the station, he decided to wash the thick layer of dirt off of his coat, wanting to go home clean. As he showered and scrubbed, he noticed something miraculous. His cutie mark had appeared. It was from that point on he knew what he was meant to do. From that day on, the chief pony of the station had hired him on, where he grew from just a low-level fire pony to the chief he is today.
