Species: Unicorn

Appearance: A relatively tall and slim unicorn, with a pale yellowish coat and a long, messy tangle of a forest green mane and tail. Her eyes are cerise and gentle-looking. She always keeps the same red rose tucked behind her ear, that perfectly matches her eyes. She usually carries a small satchel full of various herbs and ingredients.<br /><br />When she bothers to take care of her appearance, instead of a yellow-green colour, her fur is an elegant pale gold, and her mane and tail are wavy and shiny, in an even darker forest green. She really is a beautiful pony, but she has never truly realised it. <br /><br />On special occasions, she adorns one of her most prised possessions, the Star Rose, alternatively the Star Ruby. It is, well, a star ruby carved into the flawless likeness of a rose, with a thorny stem carved from emerald. The Star Rose was given to her by (Source varies from RP to RP) a very skilled craftsmen, sometimes even royalty itself. It is much stronger than the rose she usually wears, and is somehow very much alive, so she can manipulate it just the same.<br /><br />When she takes the time to bother with her appearance, and remove the layer of soil she always seems to wear (Yet, somehow, she always smells like roses rather than dirt), her coat shines a beautiful pale gold colour, while her mane and tail are a more elegant shade of forest streaked with lime, shiny and wavy, rather than the olive drab tangle they usually are.

Cutie Mark: A red rose, with the stem shaped into a heart. A reference to her original name, 'Rose Petal'.

Personality: Patient, gentle. Never feels the need to rush. She moves at her own pace.<br /><br />Caring, compassionate, dependable. She carries a general air of benevolence, peace, and calmness. It takes quite a lot to get her worked up.<br /><br />Somewhat stubborn, and unyielding, sometimes even unforgiving, just like her precious oaks. But not unpleasant, just like her gorgeous rosebushes. She has a strong sense of determination and commitment.<br /><br />Usually rather serious, but has the most melodious laughter anypony that has met her has ever heard.<br /><br />Quiet and softly spoken, and somewhat shy and easily embarrassed. She tends to keep to herself, but if she wants to make herself heard, she WILL be heard. Not an ounce of timidity can be found in her veins.<br /><br />Not always good at expressing her emotions, but carefully observing the actions of the petals of the rose she wears, that she controls subconsciously, is generally a good way to find out how she really feels, even if she doesn't know her feelings herself.<br /><br />Since a lot of ponies don’t know her too well, there are often rumors flying about her. A lot of these rumors have not been disproven yet.

Backstory: Evergreen was born while her parents were visiting Hoofington, but was raised in Manehattan. Her parents valued high society, and attempted to raise their daughter as such. However, Rose was completely uninterested in such affairs. She would spend all of her time at the large park near the center of the city, loving the (comparatively) fresh air. <br /><br />In one of her school classes, she was given a small plant, a clover, to tend to and care for. She discovered she was a natural caretaker of plants, and under her care the clover flourished. One day, she had one of those accidental bursts of magic young unicorns are prone to, and the clover grew and grew until it was the size of a large sunflower, and quite as beautiful as a rose. At that moment, her cutie mark appeared. <br /><br />Her parents, deciding that Evergreen may be better off living in a natural environment, sent her off to live with family in Ponyville, which is (In the opinion of Manehattan ponies) slow and natural. Eve had never been happier. A few years of living with her aunt and uncle, Rose moved away from downtown Ponyville, relocating to outside the city, near the Everfree forest. She planted several seeds and saplings around her new, small house, and with her careful guidance, the plants grew into a fantastic garden, with a orchard full of a variety of trees and acres upon acres of vibrantly colored, beautiful flowers. It's rumored she has every species of flora known to ponykind, and several unknown, in her garden.<br /><br />And, in the center of her garden, in the place of honor on an earthen pedestal in right in front of her home, the masterpiece of her collection stands. And her masterpiece is? <br /><br />A clover, the size of a sunflower, with heart-shaped leaves that are filled with every shade of green imaginable, and tinged with pink and gold.
