• Fierasil De Rosa Canter

    The Original
    • Age: 19

      Gender: Female

      Species: Alicorn

      Appearance:
While she is a technical Alicorn, she only has the limiting functions of a Pegasus.

      Cutie Mark:
A balance beam with a fiery hoop around it. It signifies that she is a dangerous and risky acrobat.

      Personality:
Most of the time Fiera is in a good mood and its hard to spoil it, but there are a few remote things that can bring her spirits down. She is very confident in herself and doesn't let anypony tell her she can't do something. Her motto is, "The only impossible thing is impossibility!"

      Backstory:
Fiera, unlike other Alicorn princesses, was kept away from the royal side of her family. She was born of the royal family Canter, which descend from the founders of Canterlot. She was given an official royal name if she ever chose to go with the royal life: 'Fierasil de Rosa Canter'. Her parents wanted to raise her as a normal pony though, and when they birthed an Alicorn, they moved to Fillydelphia to raise their newborn. They would have her wear some clothes when she went outside so nopony would find out she was an Alicorn. Fiera had almost no interest in using her magic during her life. She found it hard to use and believed it made ponies lazy. She would only ever use it when playing with her toys. She wanted to become one of the top acrobatic fliers in Equestria, akin to the Wonderbolts. She practiced daily, and made sure to exercise her wings whenever they weren't sore. However, this practice was very limited due to her public status as a unicorn, so she had to resort to large enclose spaces or the distant forever. It was common for her to get injured due to her extreme and confined flying techniques, but her mother was skilled in magical healing. She tried to be available for any of Fiera's injuries.

One day, when she was just over 14 years old, she was heading out of an abandoned barn. This was a common practice place for her, and she did her best to transform it into an obstacle course inside. Unbeknownst to her, a group of three Pegasus colts from her school happened to be walking by the barn that particular day. When she was seen by them, they questioned why she was here. In her stupor of the moment, she said she was practicing her flying. The group of colts laughed and mocked her. They reasoned that because she was known as a unicorn, she couldn't possibly fly. One colt mentioned that she is always wearing her cloak. After that statement, they all tried to coax Fiera into showing her what's underneath it. After she wouldn't comply, two of them pinned her down and the third took off her cloak. Fiera was both furious and ashamed of her wings, but she wouldn't let them get away from this unscathed. The colts were surprised, but they were also clearly upset. "Why does she get both and we don't?" One of them said. The others agreed. "I have an idea. Let's take her wings off! Then she won't be so special" the third put forward. Unfortunate for the three colts, Fiera already planned out her battle. Fiera expanded her wings to knock off the two pinning her down, and then she took to the sky.

The colts followed her, but they couldn't match her speed. Fiera whipped back around and dove to the ground in attempt to hide in the barn. She wasn't fast enough to lose them, and they followed her in. She was now blocked from leaving the barn, and she would have to fight her way out. The colts, being very uncoordinated, all leaped out at her at once. She narrowly dodged them and gave each a hit on the joint of their wings. Each yelped out in pain, and one even stopped fighting to tend to his wound. It was now two versus one. Fiera continued to dodge and retaliate over and over, her knowledge of the obstacle course she created helping tremendously. The only time she thought she might lose was when one of the colts body slammed her into a tractor. She took some wing damage, as far as she knew. Having the breath taken out of her, one of the colts held her down, and the other closed up on her and bucked her head against the tractor's side in an attempt to knock her out. Wrestling for her life, she both tired them out and left them severely bruised. When they realized they had lost, they slowly limped away towards home. Fiera was proud of herself. She had actually put her training to good use.

Fiera returned home and went straight to her mother to have her wing healed. She was still in a slight daze from the tractor hit, and the adrenaline was still in her system. When her mother saw her, she let out a shriek. Her mother question Fiera as to her whereabouts and what she was doing. Fiera said she was practicing in the barn and accidentally ran into the tractor when she veered off course. Her mother still had her suspicions though. "I hardly think flying into a tractor could take half of your horn off!" With that, Fiera went to a mirror and scanned herself. She couldn't believe it, but her horn had actually been snapped off from the double tractor impact, and she simply was under too much adrenaline to have felt it. After a few more moments of surveying the damage, one thing stood out...

Fiera's cutie mark. A balance beam running through a fiery hoop. She wondered what it meant, but could only attribute it to her acrobatics and personality. However wonderful the discovery of a cutie mark may be, the following weeks were a disaster of research to find a way to fix a broken horn. Their efforts wasted, no cure nor remedy to be found. Her parents knew she could not stay in Fillydelphia, as the town knew her as a unicorn, not a broken Alicorn. Her parents woefully decided to send her to live in Ponyville. There, she would live with one of Princess Celestia's most trusted scientists, Cyril Coltefeller. As it turned out, he was the head of magical and technological development. They hoped that by having Cyril study the nature of an Alicorn's broken horn, he could find a cure or at least a temporary fix. Fiera would be asked to assist in Cyril's other tasks though, as payment for his service. In time, Fiera started to look up to Cyril like the older brother she never had.
