Cutie Mark: As you can see his Cutie Mark is a flame. This represents his ability to create flames as he flies, much like how Rainbow Dash creates rainbows. Though flames only appear if he flies at a certain speed.

Personality: Flare lives up to his name. He is very rash and hot-headed. He doesn't think things through too often which can lead to some interesting misadventures. Though despite this he does have times where he is calm and looks for a loophole or some way out of a situation depending on the circumstances.

Backstory: When Flare was young he lived in Cloudsdale. It was nothing special just him and his family. One day as he was flying around he noticed that the Great Dragon Migration was passing by. So in a rather cocky [and stupid] move Flare flew up to get a better view and was soon knocked out of the sky and was rendered unconscious. When he woke up he was in some sort of forest. Since the trees were too thick to fly out and started to look for an exit. After a while he saw a Phoenix nest missing all of its eggs. He then heard a screech and a roar so he ran over in the direction of the noises to find two Phoenixes fighting a dragon for the eggs. Flare soon flew up and kicked the Dragon in the face which made the Dragon slash at him, just as he was about to get hit one of the Phoenixes flew in front of Flare taking the hit for him. As he watched the Phoenix fall to the ground he was enraged and flew around the dragon until he engulfed it in a “tornado” of fire. Even though it didn’t kill the dragon it still made it faint allowing Flare to take the eggs back to the nest along with the two Phoenixes and continue on his way. While looking around Flare found a cave, but little did he know that the cave was home to an Ursa Major and a sleeping Ursa Minor. As he walked in he noticed the Ursa Major was gone. After a bit he stepped on a bone causing it to crack which made the sleeping Ursa Minor wake up and start chasing Flare. As he ran he eventually got cornered and just as the Ursa Minor was ready to chomp Flare's head off, the Phoenix that took the hit for him comes and blinds the beast allowing Flare to escape. After hours of looking, Flare was about to give up. Suddenly the Phoenix from before came and screeched at him then flew along a path. Flare followed the Phoenix which showed him a way out. When he realizes that the Phoenix likes him so much Flare decides to ask the Phoenix if it wants to come with Flare. The Phoenix happily screeches in agreement and both leave the forest. When Flare returns to Cloudsdale he decides that he wants to travel the world. After telling his parents he makes his final goodbyes and goes off with his new pet in search of adventure.
