Cutie Mark: Flurry's cutie mark is of an eye. Flurry earned her cutie mark when she spotted a crack in the wall of a cave room of which Sugar was about to enter. She warned her just as the noise triggered the room to collapse in on itself. From her keen sense of sight, she gained her cutie mark, and saved Sugars life.
Personality: Flurry is lonely; she is very trustworthy, loyal and honest. When something goes wrong she will blame herself, and this is mainly due to the experience of the loss of Sugar. She also finds it hard to make friends easily, but once she has made a bond she will remember and keep it strong. She finds it hard to be independent, as Sugar was always providing her with support, and she was never able to enjoy anything like many other ponies did at the same age. She is usually sombre inside, but always tries cheer others up. She is not strictly shy, but will find it difficult to communicate with other ponies; however she does approach them and try to be friendly. Flurry is also very emotional, but tends to hide it very well from other Ponies.
Backstory: Flurry’s parents were farmers, who lived on a farm on the outskirts of the Everfree; they shared this farm with other families. When her parents and the families left to sell the winter wrap up harvest, and never came back she became worried. Causing her to leave the farm, despite all the times she'd been told otherwise. She entered the Everfree, she’d journeyed hours, when she heard the sound of Timberwolves approaching. Flurry left the dirt path to Ponyville that she was following, and trotted into the forest. The Timberwolves followed the scent curiously, but lost interest in it quickly. But now Flurry was lost, wandering circles, in a futile attempt to find the path. This was when she was found by one of the surviving members of the family from the farm, a mare called Sugar. Sugar took her to a cave where she'd been taking refuge from the dangerous wilderness. Sugar told her that the families had become separated after the pack of Timberwolves, like those she’d encountered earlier had ambushed them on the route to Ponyville. Sugar was unsure where the other families were. After many nights desperately trying to find the path, the winter snow began to fall, and the path which led back the farm was certainly lost.

Flurry and Sugar survived for many years, always trying to find the path back to the farm, but always failing. Sugar suggested that the dirt path had simply grown over with the over brush of the forest without the families to trot over it. Sugar foraged for food outside the cave, and Flurry was tasked with picking berries outside the cave, and the maintenance of the cave. Flurry was never allowed to stray very far from the cave, and she never did, for fear of the Timberwolves which howled through the forest. By now she was a young mare, but Sugar did not seem to take notice. One night, after Sugar had come back from foraging, Flurry noticed a shape lurking in the darkness of the night and pointed it out, Sugar recognised the Timberwolf just as the pack emerged with it. They triggered the boulder trap that Flurry had set, but a few still made it in. Sugar told Flurry to gallop, and hesitantly, and loathingly she did. She escaped from the caves, and waited for Sugar the entire night. She never came.

Flurry had to survive on her own, and felt the loneliness of her situation get to her; she was pained of the loss of her only friend, and felt the guilt of her death haunt her. It was in this state that she was found by a group of Equestrians who had been in search of the Sugar Farm, noticing that none had been coming in for years. They named her Flurry as they only saw her blurs as she observed them from the bushes until finally approaching them when she regarded them safe. The Equestrians told Flurry that the farm had fallen into disrepair, and that no pony had been spotted there, and no word of any of the families had been heard in Ponyville, who’d not even realised the circumstances which had befallen them until now.

The Equestrians took her back to Ponyville, where she was met with curiosity, and awe that she had managed to survive for so long in the Everfree. She felt even guiltier than she had only survived because of Sugar, and Sugar was not here. Eventually word died down, and she became integrated into everyday life at Ponyville. She started her own apple farm, of which the soil in Ponyville was suited, unlike back at her parent’s farm which was suited for sugarcane.
