Flynn Cricket
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Species: Unicorn
Appearance: A light brown pony with no mane, a very short black tail. Quite skinny due to medication and lack of eating during periods of time. Three legged, due to tragic accident as a child. Horn is slightly larger than most and much sharper/pointier. Has soft darkish brown eyes which make him look less intimidating.
Cutie Mark: *Cutie Mark does not appear in the picture*

Cutie mark is of two eight notes joined together, however the second note is broken about halfway to 3/4ths of the note itself, so you can't see the bud but rather a broken piece. This is to signify two things - his love for music and the accident that happened to him from his child hood.
Personality: Outside of the job, he's found to be quiet around others, but around familiar people he's very supportive and light hearted. Due to missing a leg his confidence has dropped to an extent and can only really open up to his family - the Agents - and his friends - the four piece band known as Guard Down.

During work, he becomes dead serious and shows little to no humor. A lot of his time and effort goes into his recordings when he has a band over or is working on personal projects for kicks, turning him into a workaholic. Becomes very determined and headstrong to the point where he's gone multiple nights without sleeping just to work on one track alone. While hard-headed in this aspect, he's always open to suggestions as to how to improve the album, from songwriting to production. Doesn't like cameras in the studio either.
Backstory: Born in Canterlot to Anita Capella-Cricket, an opera singer, and Cantata Cricket, a former conductor to one of the more well known orchestra's in Canterlot, Flynn was practically born with music flowing through his veins. As a kid, he'd find peace in hearing his parents classical records play, opting for him to try his hand at playing music. His parents however were against the idea, not just because he wasn't very good, but because they found he had more potential in learning magic. So to obey his parents' wishes, he continued working on his magic, while at the same time improving his musical knowledge at the side.

Around the age of 10 the Crickets had gotten into a terrible accident, resulting in the death of both Anita and Cantata. Flynn however survived but not without consequence - his right leg had to be amputated, and as a result wasn't able to walk very well. Combining the tragedy that happened to his parents, losing his leg, and having to be put up for adoption left him very angry and as a result more determined to learn music, in memory of his parents, and magic, to respect their wishes. He was soon adopted by a pegasus - Agent Olive - and had been raised under her guidance. Due to Olive's belief in hard work Flynn wasn't given much leeway in his recreational options and was forced to dramatically work on his magic studies, limiting his time for music. When Olive decided to give him a break and let him relax, Cricket picked up a magazine which had one of the most infamous ponies in music, Hevy Devy, on the cover. He took great interest in Devy and wound up looking into his work - spiraling him to become a music producer. Due to this, he had lost interesting in socializing with a lot of people, only making little contact with his new family and either learning new spells, listening to new records or both.

By the age of 19, Cricket had graduated from public schooling and began studying with one of the orchestras in Canterlot, as well as running a local radio station with a handful of friends, where he would take control of the night time broadcasts - playing nothing but heavy metal. From this, Flynn earned his reputation as "The Thrasher" which meant a lot of flak was put on him by his teacher and other orchestra players, one in particular being Octavia. One day, in an act of impulse, Cricket found Octavia practicing - struggling with a slight piece. After offering to help, he was brushed off and insulted for being a metal head and slandering the Cricket name - which lead to a flurry of insults thrown back at each other ending with Flynn forcefully taking her instrument, playing the piece flawlessly while earning his cutie mark in the process, and losing his internship placement with the orchestra due to back talking a musician of "greater experience".

He continued on with the radio show, solidifying his reputation until he was picked up by Hevy Devy himself to co-produce an album since Devy's usual partner is unable at the time to work with him. As a result, the album released - "Deconstruction" - had been a gigantic hit, earning much recognition and even an nomination for an award. While they haven't won, this still boosted Cricket's career to a high, getting offers left and right. He now continues producing music - of all genres - at an abandoned warehouse called (uncreatively) The Warehouse in Canterlot where he now lives in, and still participates at the local radio station during his free time, still playing the same music he did when he was just starting his job.
