Appearance: Foray is a pale yellow-grey unicorn mare who stands slightly shorter than the average mare with a relatively slim build. Her mane and tail are a fiery orange color, and are both usually worn in long, single braids. Her eye color, which is the same as her magic color, is jade green. She has a light dusting of freckles on her face and a large bite mark on her right ear. She is normally seen wearing a Stable 105 jumpsuit and utility belt. Occasionally, she will also don an armored harness, a worn military jacket, or a pair of unmarked saddlebags.

Cutie Mark: Foray's cutie mark is a simplistic two-piece orange and yellow design for fire. She earned her cutie mark when she successfully led a group of student ponies away from a danger zone during a fire that struck Stable 105's core. Foray's talent is survival. She is skilled in various survival techniques, has an uncanny knack for getting out of tight situations without help, and is able to fend off powerful opponents and remain unscathed. The fire symbolizes her charisma, passion for those she cares about, and affinity for authority. She also believes that, if it were not for current events, she could become either a firepony or a master of fire magic, as she is somewhat talented in both areas.

Personality: To the perfect stranger, Foray likes to come off as a powerful and independent hard-as-nails lawbringer, who is benevolent towards all and capable of eliminating all scum from the Wasteland. However, she's far from transcendant. Although she's massively skilled, she knows her limits and prefers to take a realistic and logical approach towards most situations, opting to do whatever necessary to complete a goal. She is benevolent towards peaceful ponyfolk, and her open mind allows her to understand and even befriend slavers and raiders. While she doesn't welcome companions, she doesn't particularly mind traveling with amicable ponies, and will even grow friendly towards them if approached correctly. She can even come off as playful or flirty towards them, though she's usually just doing so to ease the tension of a long journey. She's content with her current circle of very close friends and isn't accepting applications.

Backstory: Born to loving parents in the confines of Des Manes' Stable 105, and the oldest of four fillies, Foray quickly found herself swamped with responsibility when her mother died giving birth to her third younger sister. Being much older than her sisters, and with her father now cold and distant, Foray learned to accept her alienation from her family, and while she was once kind-hearted, she slowly grew cold and distant as well.<br /><br />During an electric storm that ignited several of the power generators in Stable 105, she successfully evacuated a group of schoolponies out of a danger zone, and earned her cutie mark. The overmare appointed her as an emergency service assistant, though after that incident, there weren't many situations serious enough to warrant her help. After falling in poor standing with a new overmare, and after a pony had mysteriously escaped from one of Stable 105's 32 cryostasis pods, she was chosen to fill the empty cell and awoke 160 years later when the pod's energy supply shorted. Emerging from the stable at the age of fifteen, and abandoning the group of ponies that were with her after a string of terrible accidents, she joined with a group of would-be terrorists and was able to avert a war between the inhabitants of the Des Manes Basin, now known as the Domain. She wandered the Domain for three more years, perfecting her skills and establishing a reputation as "The Wayfarer", before departing and heading out into the rest of the Wasteland.
