Appearance: A small gray pony with red highlights and slight freckles on his muzzle. His orange eyes shine with wicked intellect behind a pair of thick-lensed spectacles. He typically appears kind of harmless, but his vile ponysona becomes evident when he lets loose with his wicked grin. He wears the pony equivalent of a lab coat, with a cuff on each hoof. He moves fluidly & quickly, like a slithering snake (appropriately).

Cutie Mark: (No corresponding picture yet.) Gideon's cutie mark is an orange atomic bomb mushroom cloud, with a cracked green laboratory beaker in front of it. He earned it the day he came up with his "Chaos Reset Theory". It encompasses both his talent with science, and his destructive goals.

Personality: Gideon's personality is reminiscent of your typical "mad scientist" type. He tends to be cold & emotionless... unless he's involved in one of his schemes; that's when he becomes manic & violent. He believes that other ponies are just there to either be test subjects, or to get in his way (as is more often the case). He is hot-tempered, but can calm himself at the drop of a horseshoe - especially when he believes he has the upper hoof. <br /><br />He tends to act quiet, shy & reserved when in public... but when he's in the midst of a scheme, his personal insanity is quite evident. He loves gloating & is prone to villainous monologues, but the surest way to get his goat is to imply that he has no idea what he's doing; any hint of a lack of intelligence on his own part will send him into a rage, where he tries to prove his point. He's not interested in parties, riches or other ponies - he just wants to prove his Chaos Reset Theory: when the world gets destroyed, another one will take its place. So he goes about this task by (what else?) trying to destroy the world... regardless if he lives to see it or not.

Backstory: Gideon Anomaly was an only foal. He spent much of his time being instructed in the sciences by his father, Auric Anomaly - a well-known science professor. Though Gideon took well to learning, his interest lie in theoretical science instead of applied science. Auric, being a kind sort, managed to gather a number of books on many kinds of sciences, and Gideon read each and every heavy tome there was. He was learning at an accelerated pace, but seemed to have no regard whatsoever for other ponies... not even his esteemed father. After mastering many areas of study, Gideon left home and never looked back.<br /><br />Gideon never attended public school, so he felt that college was unnecessary. Instead, he began working on his own theories. He came up with a few that stumped many an intelligent pony, and this pleased him. However, during a fever that ran hot enough to make him delirious, he came up with his most complex theory ever: The Chaos Reset Theory. It stated that, in order to maintain balance across the universe, forces of nature and magic would re-create things to fill the voids left by things that got destroyed - i.e. a destroyed tree would be compensated for with the birth of a new foal somewhere. He began to obsess over this theory, driving himself somewhat mad in the process. He began to test his theory, destroying objects to try to gauge if they were replaced. Eventually, this destruction became more & more dangerous... and then, in the red haze of a fit trying to prove his theory to a neigh-sayer, he murdered the pony in question. He regarded the body for only a moment, feeling neither remorse nor shame. That was when he figured out how to ultimately end any debate on his precious theory.<br /><br />He'd destroy the world, and let the next one come into existence.<br /><br />Since that day, Gideon has been utterly focused on his singular goal of destroying the world as everypony knows it. He doesn't care how many bodies pile up among his hooves - as long as he accomplishes his goal, then there will be nopony to say his theory is incorrect. He skulks Equestria, searching for the right equipment to accomplish his insane mission. He is ADAMANT, and will not stop until he proves his theory correct - or dies trying.
