Appearance: Gold Standard is a short, pale red unicorn, with a medium length orange hair. He's almost always seen carrying a saddle bag, which holds his accounts ledger, several pencils, and a calculator.

Personality: Some would call him a liar, or a cheater, or a conman, but Gold Standard prefers to say he's an opportunist. When something's presented to him, he looks for what will help him the most. When he's forced to do something he doesn't want to do, he looks for a short-cut. Unfortunately, this can get him into trouble, as what's in his best interest may not be in the best interest of everypony else. <br /><br />He is non-violent, in part that he's not the most intimidating figure. Instead, he has to use his silver tongue and his good business sense to get out of situations.

Backstory: Gold Standard was born a unicorn in the small town of Valley Peak, located west of Appleloosa. He lived there with his father, a researcher, and his mother, a banker. It was on a trip to the bank with his mother that Stone Cold first learned of his love of gold. After this trip, he began to save up his allowance, and started taking odd jobs to get more funds. After all, one can never have too much gold.
