Alex Kennedy

    • Age: 27 (Often thought to be younger)

      Gender: Male

      Species: Unicorn

Appearance: An enormous golden pony with a red mane. Despite his massive build, he carries himself in an unassuming, non-threatening manner.

Cutie Mark: A shield, indicative of his strong protective instincts.

Personality: A "gentle giant" for the most part. He believes that he has such a large, powerful body because he is meant to protect others, and he considers this to be his calling. He hates fighting, and will often simply stand and take hits rather than making an effort to fight back. However, when he believes it to be necessary, he is quite skilled in combat.

He is also dedicated to using his magic to help others, and he uses almost exclusively healing spells and similar things.

He is generally very calm, and his presence makes others feel more safe and reassured.

Backstory: Growing up in Canterlot, he always stood out because of his size. Although he never really liked the attention, he grew to accept that it was inevitable. He lived in a rough neighborhood, and although he was never targeted himself due to his size, he saw many ponies being mugged or otherwise harmed. As he got older, he tried his best to stand up to bullies, and eventually to try and prevent violent crime as much as he could. Often ponies would take one look at his large, muscular frame and back down. One day, he saw a pony being attacked by a large griffon, and ran towards them to intervene. At the last minute, he dove in front of the pony and took a blow from the griffon's talon that would have killed them. Shocked and confused, the assailant quickly flew away. It was then that he got his cutie mark.
