• Hermes

    Knox_Proxy

    • Age: 19

      Gender: Male

      Species: Pegasus

Cutie Mark: Hermes' cutie mark is the Caduceus (which is the staff of Hermes in Greek mythology). It is the symbol of his profession as a pony medic. He was thrown into the training by accident and gotten his cutie mark when he entered the ranks of the Canterlot Royal Army (he was a late bloomer). He served as a medic for a few years before leaving to give care to other ponies in areas too far for doctors and healers to get to.

Personality: Hermes is level headed, kind, and often quiet. He gives everyone care as much as he can no matter what. Sadly he has a self sacrificing streak a mile wide and will neglect himself far too much.

Backstory: Hermes was born in Cloud City, but moved to Canterlot at a young age. His parents were middle class pegasuses with enough to live a comfortable life. He was devoted to his parents and would do anything they asked. It was on a day, after he turned 15, that while on a errand in the woodlands near his home he found a royal solider laying wounded on the forest floor.

With his wit and skills with first aid, Hermes bandaged up the wounded pony and took him to the royal palace. He was then seen by the head of the wounded pony's platoon and given a position as a medic in training. Hermes' parents were truly proud of him and he was proud of himself until...much later on.

Hermes went with his platoon at the boarders of the kingdom where protection from the enemies were most dire. The work changed Hermes and he became withdrawn and sadden by his work. When he turned 18, the purple pegasus left the royal army to pursue a life of charity rather then battle.

Hermes takes up a job as a messenger and uses his new job to give medical care to ponies who cannot travel to doctors because they live in remote areas.
