Appearance: She has a shimmery golden mane, and a sleek white body. She is taller than most ponies her age, and has big golden eyes to match her luscious eyelashes. She sometimes wears a black cloak to hide.
Cutie Mark: Her cutie mark is a potted plant with three leaves, which symbolizes that she's quite advanced in plant and nature magic. (Like, she can bring a dead plant to life, but that's one of her more advanced spells and takes a lot of energy from her.)
Personality: Iris is quite a shy pony, and is very antisocial. She wasn't always like that, actually. She used to be brave, fun-loving, and sheepishly kind to everypony she met. But now, she is very mistrusting and shy, and hates to be noticed for her looks. She usually hides by wearing a dark cloak during the night, so nopony finds her. She's quite handy though, and can hold up a fight, either of strength or of wits, for she's smarter than the average pony. She has a big weakness, though, which is of course her lack of socialization. She can barely be friends with anypony because she can't exactly trust them.
Backstory: Iris, as a little girl, was very adventurous and playful, spending days talking to her friends, playing in her tree house, and pretending to be Daring Do. However, one day, her mother awoke her to half of the house burning. Iris and her family were side by side, until a piece of their ceiling came tumbling down. It fell right between Iris and her parents and two siblings. Iris had managed to hide a way out, but not the rest of her family. She was taken to a hospital, and the last thing she saw before she left her home forever, was the house, engulfed in flames, and her own tree house and swingset burning. Iris began keeping to herself and being quite shy then as she was put into an orphanage. As she began school, kids began picking on her because she was too shy to talk mostly and never wanted to do much. They said she was a wimp, and even beat her up a few times. This crushed her self-esteem, as she began to believe that they were all right. She was a wimp, and stupid, and worthless. As she spent long nights bauling to her family, and crying because of school, she began spending more and more time being alone. There, she knew she was safe from bullies. She loved being alone, talking to her parents (who of course never responded) and practicing her magic in peace. She was soon able to kick back if the bullies hit her, but she wasn't able to kick back with words. after leaving school, she never trusted anypony as much anymore. She didn't want people to laugh at her and make songs about her stupidity. She knew exactly where she wanted to be, and that was alone.
