Appearance: <p> A somewhat taller than normal unicorn with an always slick and well-combed black-and-white mane and tail, an off-white coat, yellow eyes, brown glasses, and usually a blue bow tie and dress jacket. Currently has a small beard, but sometimes shaves it off. </p>

Cutie Mark: <p> A music flat symbol with a slash through it. This symbolizes that he makes money off of music, tunes musical instruments, and occasionally plays them. </p>

Personality: <p> When at work, he is a good reader of other ponies' wants and needs and can be quite manipulative in order to make a sale. Outside of work, he is more reserved, a bit shy and even fearfully cautious, somewhat disorganized, and absent-minded at times, often forgetting that there may be someone else in the room or that something obvious is right in front of him. He is always thinking of (at least in his mind) better ways to build organ stops or keeping pianos tuned, and dreams of the day when there is a piano in everypony's house, whether they can play or not. He is something between an ENTP and a INTP on the MBTI. </p>

Backstory: <p> Born in Las Pegasus to a sous-chef pegasus father and a croupier unicorn mother employed at the same resort, Ivory Starwind first learned card games from his mother and expected to follow in her hoofsteps. At the same time, he was fascinated by the sounds of the kitchen, and often was disciplined by his father for stealing supplies from the resort kitchen and experimenting with their sounds. One day, the loudspeaker system at the resort became distorted, and Ivory snuck into the control room before official help arrived and, after a bit of fiddling, fixed the system and received his cutie mark. At first his parents were more upset that he had gotten into the back room than having gotten his cutie mark, but soon they threw him a joyful cuteceañera like any other parents. </p> <p> Hoping to keep Ivory away from the kitchen and control room, his mother and father decided to get music lessons, starting with drums, which Ivory found boring. Later they brought him the French horn and the violin, which interested him more. A visit to Manehattan, however, helped him fall in love with the piano and organ, attracted to their intricate parts and sonorous possibilities. As soon as he could he settled in Manehattan to study piano and organ construction and technique. His mechanical abilities on the organ surpassed his musical technique, though he remains a competent player. </p> <p> In Manehattan he has tuned and built pianos for several celebrities, including Countess Coloratura, and invented several new organ stops to better imitate violins and French horns. After learning that the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters has a still-functioning organ, he has come to Ponyville to investigate it and hope to improve upon it. In addition, he hopes to spread his piano and organ-building business into Ponyville, and hopes that a sale to Princess Twilight Sparkle will be a big boon to his bank account. </p>
