Appearance: He's usually seen wearing a helmet, armor, some kind of weapon, and a large cloak made up of a cape and hood. Under his helmet and armor, Jacob is a fair skinned human male with dirty blond disheveled hair and alert blue-green eyes.
Cutie Mark: None, he's a human. If he had one though, it'd probably be of a knife. He loves his knives.
Personality: Jacob is an upbeat kind of guy that loves to look out for his friends. Though he knows that it's his job to look out for humanity, he see's it more as a challenge. He tries to help people who need help because he wants to help then, rather then because it's his job.
Backstory: Jacob's story is the same as all the others. He woke up somewhere on planet earth with no memory of his past life. A small white pyramid shaped thing called a ghost claims that he rejuvenated him from the grave, and that humanity needed his help in order to survive. After that, it was only a matter of finding a ship and making his way to Russia where the The last human city on earth was located. Upon arrival, he was quickly ushered to a large building known as "The Tower". In The Tower, guardians of all shapes and sizes resided, speaking to the weapons master or a mysterious figure known as "The Speaker". Jacob soon learned that an alien being called "The Traveler" came to earth and revolutionized life for humans. They became smarter, lived longer, and more prosperous in all they did. It was the golden age for earth. Humans spread throughout the galaxy, colonizing planets like Mars and Venus using the power and technology provided my The Traveler. Alas, it was not to last. The Traveler's enemy known as "The Darkness" found and attacked The Traveler, and humanity with him. The Traveler did all he could, but in the end, almost all of humanity was destroyed, save for the few that rested under a gravely injured Traveler. Now Guardians, like Jacob, are being spawned from earth's past protectors using The Traveler's power called light. They are to use this Light to protect humanity and ensure their continued survival. Jacob learned all of this over the course of a few days, but felt that something wasn't right with that story. He wasn't sure, but he didn't trust this masked figure named "The Speaker". He kept his opinion to himself though since The Speaker was a fairly popular figure in the tower. He claimed that he could divine the will of The Traveler and spoke in his place. Jacob still didn't trust him, but again, kept those thoughts to himself. He did his best to help humanity survive. He was part of a fire team that took down a hugely powerful machine god like being. He also was part of a group that went to the earth's own moon that had been taken over by supremely hostile aliens called "The Hive". He, and five other guardians, managed to penetrate all the way in to a different dimension where they met another amazingly powerful god like being called Crota. They were able to, with much difficulty, slay him and provide earth with more safe days ahead. All of this is in the far past. More recently, on a routine trip between Earth and Mars, a malfunction in Jacobs Black Hole Warp Drive caused him to disappear from this reality. He ended up flying his injured craft to the nearest planet he could find that sustains life. A planet he took to calling Equis. On Equis, he met a race of horse, or pony, like beings. They weren't like any of the horse or ponys he'd seen in pictures back on earth, but they were friendly enough so he decided to stay with them until he could figure out what he was going to do.
