Appearance: Jet has a slick, grey coat which matches his black mane perfectly to create quite an intimidating appearance upon any initial encounter. He has a powerful build thanks to his time in the military, and Jet prides himself on his strength and valour.

Cutie Mark: His cutie mark appears similar to a kite shield with a single crystal shard in the middle of it, representative of both his bloodline and destiny.

Personality: He is a very stoic character, which isn't surprising for a stallion who spent most of his life serving the Equestrian military in a high-ranking officer role. While it doesn't translate well to family life, he struggles to be a more approachable and friendly figure for his daughters. His intimidating persona has been the cause for a large amount of dysfunction within the Hearthstone family.

Backstory: The Hearthstone family has always been famed for their abilities in combat, and Jet was not one to simply turn his back on their proud heritage. Instead, even from an early age, he embraced it and spent every day preparing for the moment where he could protect and serve the Equestria he loved. Just as his father had done, and his father before him, and his father before him, and so on and so forth. <br /><br />This worked well for the young, brash stallion, being thrown into service at the primitive age of 16 and steadily rising through the ranks by performing outstandingly in physical and theory tests, as well as being the headline hero during many historic battles that took place in his career.<br /><br />It was, in fact, during these frightful times that Jet would meet Pearl, a confident young guardmare who would go on to be his wife and the mother of their three beautiful daughters Amber, Ruby and Antha. <br /><br />He wasn't much of a great father figure, but he was still able to encourage Amber and Antha to follow the family traditions through a strict upbringing and lots of encouragement.
