Appearance: He is a Bat Pony, With the common Dark Purple wings, large fluffy ears, golden eyes, lighter grey coat, and a dual colored Blue mane and tail. His hooves are stained black from trotting in the coal dust that has settled and coated areas of industry throughout his nation. He sports a distinct mustache that has become the latest fashion of facial hair there as well. He stands at straight and tall, making sure that he is quite noticeably in charge in almost any room. One of his wings is slightly shorter than the other.
Cutie Mark: His cutie mark consists of two rotating crosses going in opposite directions put together to form one that appears like a medal. The meaning behind it, is that to go forward, sometimes you have to go back. Once you realize this you will find the fastest way towards victory.
Personality: His position and birth right, are responsible for him having high expectations of others, which leads him to becoming impatient quite easily. He is known to react very strongly and take action with out consolidation for even simple matters. He also does not seek the advice of others, fearing that it would make him appear as weak. If he were hammering a screw and someone were to tell him that he has to use a drill instead, he'd denounce them. But if nothing were said he would have quickly come to the realization that he requires a drill for the task. He might listen if it were advised he use a nail, but few have learned how they need to say things to him, so most say nothing so as not to lose there difficultly obtained status and/or career to be working with the kaiser. He is also over-confident and so sure of himself to the point where one might mutter that he is a mad egomaniac under there breath. A romantic idealist desperate for success, he is willing to do almost anything to get what he wants. This sometimes includes sacrificing others, but in his heart, he puts his country and his subjects as a whole first when they are in jeopardy. He enjoys being the center of attention to some extent, and does so when trying to leave a good impression in a way that suggests that he is someone you want on your side. When around those he does not care to affiliate with he does something similar, only to make himself seem as someone not to be trifled with.
Backstory: Born in the far off land of Krieger(German for Warrior), as a prince, Magnum Howitzer lived a life of luxury. One of his wings is shorter than the other due to a birth defect that his mother always blamed herself for. He had great difficulty in learning how to fly but he eventually got good enough to where he could balance with ease. However his tough training and sensitivity over his disability, even though he had overcome it, resulted in a damaged relationship with his mother, and an inability to take orders from those who he believed went against him in some form. <br />With his parents being busy royals, he spent much of his time with the Militaristic Aristocracy, and cemented his beliefs off of their's. His mentor, whom was also the chancellor of Abernstern(German for Evening Star), taught him to be strong in the face of things. This backfired later on him for he thought that Howitzer was weak. When he was no longer an adolescent, he was placed into the military, as a lieutenant to the first regiment of Hoof Guards, where he made an extended family of fellow soldiers and friends. After nearly a decade his father who had originally been second in line, inherited the throne but illness caused him to pass within the year. He rose from Prince to King of Krieger and Kaiser of Abendstern. Two years later, the determination of the Kaiser over policy for the nation's workers and the ever distancing disillusioned Chancellor, caused for a split between the them. This resulted in the Chancellor realizing he had no power if he could not bend his protege around his hoof, so he left. The Kaiser now held absolute unquestionable power over a vibrant empire, and the title of Chancellor as well. He has been ruling for some 2 decades now, and now looks towards expansion.
