Appearance: Has a jet black coat and a dark blue mane and tail, his eyes are rust brown, is taller and thinner than the average pony, usually has a blank expression.

Cutie Mark: Has both the Cutie marks of celestia and luna.

Personality: A calm and quick thinking guy, prefers to not speak, and let his actions speak for him, but is always the shoulder to lean on should anyone need it, he's usually the silent guardian of the group and a pony that would always steer you down the right path.

Backstory: Hope was born into a noble family that was part of the canterlot elite, as such he was given the best up bringing anyone could ask for, his dad was a part of princess celestia's royal guard, and his mother was a part of princess celestia's court.<br /><br />Hope decided to join the canterlot guard so that he could be like his father, after many years of hard work and training his efforts paid off and he became a member of the canterlot guard.<br /><br />After a few more years of service to the crown he became a member of celestia's royal guard, he had finally archived his goal.<br /><br />However the fates had much bigger things planned for the young guard.<br /><br />A few months after the return of princess Luna, princess luna had started to notice that luna had begun to distance herself from everyone, celestia became worried that luna was slowly losing herself to her evil side, Nightmare moon.<br /><br />And celestia was right, one night in the throne room princess luna snapped, and started her transformation into nightmare moon, celestia ordered the guards in the room to capture her, hope was among them, but instead of doing what Celestia had ordered he instead protected luna from the other guards.<br /><br />Celestia was outraged that one of her most trusted guards and her sister had betrayed her, in a anger induced rage she fired a spell at luna, intent on killing her, however, hope jumped in the way of the spell and took the shoot for luna, he himself perished but that was not the end of his tale.<br /><br />Hope awoke to find him self in a temple of some kind, the temple itself looked like it was from a time lost to history.<br /><br />A voice spoke out to hope, the voice told tales of a hero that would bring balance back to equestria, and of a hero that would save luna from nightmare moon.<br /><br />The voice spoke of how he was that hero, but to gain the power necessary he would have to overcome the ten trials of harmony.<br /><br />Hope vowed to complete this task and restore peace to equestria, he set of intent on becoming the hero the voice spoke of.<br /><br />And he did become the hero the voice spoke of, he had travelled for a millennia, across a land that was full of evil, and suffering.<br /><br />When he returned to the temple, the voice was no longer there, but a black plate suit of armor and a shield bearing the cutie mark of princess luna, and a sword, its blade was coloured the same as celestia's hair.<br /><br />He put on the armor and placed the shield upon his back, and finally he picked up the sword with his magic, and the world was replaced with a blinding white light.<br /><br />Hope awoke to find himself standing in the throne room of the castle, the room was filled with scorch marks and craters, princess celestia and nightmare moon were fighting, and nightmare moon seemed to be winning.<br /><br />Nightmare moon had celestia cornered and she was moving in for the kill, she charged up a spell and fired it at celestia, but hope had gotten in the way and blocked it with his shield.<br /><br />He then began to attack luna, however he only aimed for non vital parts, so that he wouldn't kill her, after a lengthy battle between the two, hope had beaten nightmare moon, and she lay before him, tears streaming down her face, begging for mercy.<br /><br />Hope sheathed his blade and knelt in front of nightmare moon, he then touched his horn with hers and began to chant a spell.<br /><br />Once the spell had taken affect nightmare moon rose into the air, and she started to change back into luna.<br /><br />After the battle celestia and luna both praised him for his heroic efforts, and they gave him the title of.<br /><br />The Knight of the Sun and the Moon.
