Personality: Lasso Lad is a laid-back and a hardworking colt. Unlike Applejack, he can be lazy at times, which would cause his work to fall behind, making completing tasks daunting and challenging. His accent also bears a mix between his Southern accent and a Manehattan accent, and always enjoy lassoing and pulling loose objects as a form of a task or simply a hobby. Although a descendant farmer, he is more of a city colt himself, who is more interested in exploring buildings than farming, but he always carries his rope around his front left hoof he kept since his childhood.

Backstory: Lasso Lad was born in Manehattan when his parents moved from Dodge Junction in Equestria, in search for a better life. He was not too bright in doing chores or even completing the simplest task, but when he received help from a little filly, who had her kite stuck from a tree. Lasso Lad, who cannot climb to grab her kite, grabs a nearby rope from a wooden post and lassoes the kite and pulls it on the ground safely without damaging it, thus not only earning his cutie mark, but also a heartwarming hug from the young filly. He then took interest in lassoing objects with his rope as his personal hobby, until he leaves Manehattan for a stay in Ponyville. Upon his arrival, he was crash landed by a flying pegasus colt, known as Rip Tide, who was flying around the skies, albeit having a sprained wing from his long flight. <br /><br />After their brief introduction, with Rip Tide apologizing Lasso Lad for the accident, he encounters four other ponies, such as Techie, Split Wire, Arisaka and Crystal Snow. Although still finding a place to live, Lasso mentions that he likes Ponyville more than Manehattan, even though he remains a Manehattan resident at heart.
