Appearance: Ooh, a black and red alicorn! Well, she isn't really black and red but dark, dark, dark, so-dark-it-looks-like-black, red with a mane and tail that are on fire. Except when she's wet. Then her mane and tail are black. And if you waited for them to dry with out lighting them on fire again you could see that they're sorta wavy. Her eye's match her mane, and also seem to be burning sorta.

Cutie Mark: Blank flank! Blank flank! An alicorn with a blank flank!<br />She doesn't have her cutie mark yet, cause she hasn't figured out what her special talent is, duh. But if you were to look a few hundred years into the future and she still was alive by some miracle, her cutie mark would be some red runes in a diagram.<br />It indicates her ability to control her magic through rituals and runes rather than her horn like most ponies.

Personality: Lava seems to be tough, unfeeling, and even mean. But that's mostly a show on her part. She fears what might happen if she even shows a moment of weakness. She also very hot-headed. (totally made that pun on purpose) She get's angry very easily and will hold grudges for as long as the other pony will. She can be quite grumpy, especially if near or touching water.

Backstory: This is gonna be a long section.... Start at the beginning or spin around in circles? Whatever...<br /><br />So let's see. Start at her mom. My sister's creation. I have nothing to do with her whatsoever except for the fact Lava's her daughter. Anyway, Lava's mother's name is New Moon, and she some sort of evil smoke cloud thingy. Seriously, I don't know exactly what my sister's doing here. Anyway, I haven't even dared to ask how New Moon's filly's and colt's were made... Maybe by some sort of binary fission? I'm unsure... Anyway, long story short, New Moon had five kids that are still alive and kicking. From eldest to youngest: Cruciatus, Magma, Lava, Ash, Obsidian. Cruciatus at some point locked up his own mother and killed the majority of his brother's and sisters. My sister says that the other four were left alive cause they are actually somewhat normal. Cruciatus is a black unicorn around the same age as Luna apparently.<br />Anyway, with that little bit of backstory, moving on to Lava. Lava had quite a bit of dark magic in her when she was born so her brother, Cruciatus, disabled her magic by simple leaving a wet cloth around her horn. Hey, what works, works! He would've done the same to Magma, except for some reason my sister's being vague about. Anyway, Lava grew up with out any use of her magic, which lead to much teasing from her twin brother, Magma. And the teasing wasn't the worst of it. With an older brother whose name literally means torture and a twin who's out to kill you, she was fighting to stay alive. Her brain quickly made the assumption that to show weakness was death. Whether or not that was true has never been proven but she holds to that anyway. Her younger brother, Ash, is apparently a half parasprite, half cockatrice, part alicorn, part changling, thing. My sister made him then gave him to a friend. The important part is that he'll eat anything or anyone. Her youngest brother, Obsidian, actually reminds her of herself. All he wants is a little bit of love that he's come to her to get. She reluctant to play 'mother' though because in her mind that would count as weakness but she also doesn't want Obsidian to have the same rough life she's had. And if you haven't gotten it by now the only character I have in this family is Lava.
