• Lia

    Victoria and Co.

    • Age: 27

      Gender: Female

      Species: Non-Pony

Personality: Due to her early life and the conditions she spent most of her life in, Lia completely goes against what it means to be a Gardevoir. While most are sympathetic, empathetic, caring, and protective, Lia is narcissistic, greedy, deceitful, and cunning.

While these more sinister emotions are far from a facade, they are not her only feelings.

Below her rough outer personality, Lia is a lonely and sad-hearted Pokemon. She still mourns over the loss of her family and her friends, although she wouldn't stand for it if anyone was the wiser.

Quite the intellectual and deep-thoughted individual, Lia hides her intelligence, much like she hides her sadness, behind a rough exterior of cruel emotions.

Lia works just as well in a group as she does individually, expertly. A professional in every dark sense of the word, Lia is only as loyal as the money is good; in fact, Lia isn't afraid play all sides, given that the money is there.

Lia isn't particularly powerful, but her cunning and skill make her a worthy adversary, and she has been known to take on much more powerful foes for power, riches, respect, and pride.

On a final note, Lia has one single memento of her past life, a Shell Bell. The Shell Bell was a gift from her father she got on her last birthday before the incident. She holds the Bell close to her heart, but rarely tells anyone of it's importance to her.

Backstory: When Lia was young, she lived on the Mainland in a large Exploration Guild with her father, a famous explorer and adventurer. When she was young, Lia never spent much time with her father as he was constantly off on adventures, so Lia grew up treasuring any and all time she had with her friends and family.

Although she is quite capable of taking care of herself, her father never wanted to expose his daughter to the cruel world that existed outside of the realms of the civilized town that housed the exploration guild. As such, Lia used to find the outside world estranged and distant, removed from her life and non-effectual to her life.

On her 15th birthday, Lia's father took Lia and some friends to the beach. This was Lia's first time really leaving the town which she had spent most of her life in. It was here that Lia was given her Shell Bell and her life changed forever.
As the group began to return to the town, a mysterious shape appeared on the horizon. Soon, it became apparent that the shape was not friendly.

Attacks were fired upon the group, Lia's father taking the brunt of them. Later, the group was captured and Lia's father was killed in front of her. The attackers held Lia captive for some time before revealing themselves as longtime enemies of her father's exploration guild, being pirates of the open seas.

The pirates attempted to sell Lia into slavery, but the captain took pity on the girl and, as a final insult to her father, decided to raise her as his own, to be a pirate, the likes of which her father had fought so hard to stop.

Years later, Lia became the captain of the crew herself, after the death of the original captain. With her respect gained from years of working on the ship, Lia quickly gained fame and power on the sea before betraying her crew to the benefit of her pocketbook.

Upon hearing of the treasures that lay on the island of Divisa, Lia charted a boat and set sail for the unknown.
