Little Red

    • Age: 17

      Gender: Female

      Species: Earth Pony

      Appearance: Refer to above image.
Picture done by Jellyfish. Thank you SO much. :)
A paint pony with grey fur and red splotches. A red mane tied up in a high braid of sorts, and a black and red tail tied up in a braid as well.
She wears a dark red cloak, under which is a girdle bearing her sword on her right side-- a katana with a black and gold hilt in a rather nondescript black sheath-- and on her left side a large pouch of throwing knives, which she also uses to carry supplies.

Cutie Mark: A hammer: her father is a blacksmith, and she got it on her first day of apprenticing under him. Honestly, though, it doesn't represent that's she's good at blacksmithing(which apparently is not a word)-- she's just good at hitting stuff, as well as her patience in hitting something over and over again till the job is done.

Personality: Little Red is extremely quiet. She prefers not to talk if she doesn't have to, as she often views it as pointless, but isn't antisocial, per se. She likes a good conversation, and she enjoys listening to others. She enjoys other ponies' company, but she mostly lives to satisfy her own dreams.

As for dreams, she doesn't have much planned. She wants to explore the world and help ponies where she can-- but mostly just explore the world. Despite her quietness, she has an adventuring soul. Her favorite moments in the world are when she's alone in the quiet with nothing but nature to surround her. And then a bear attacks her out of the woods.

Though she likes peace and quiet, she can't stand too much of it. She likes to fight. Not killing-- she avoids killing if she can-- but she loves swordplay. She is constantly seeking to improve.

She isn't that competitive. She's mostly relaxed when it comes to competition. So long as she learns something, she's fine with losing. Though, when she loses anything, she often goes on a training spree and doesn't talk to any pony for anywhere between a week to several months.

When she's with ponies that have become more than just allies and something like friends, she gets a more sarcastic attitude and is less quiet.

When she's alone, she can get very self-conscious. She berates herself for not having any dreams and wasting her life on mindless adventuring. She used to dream of being a hero, but no longer views it as realistic. She also often feels terrible about her relationship with her parents. She feels she abandoned them though they did nothing wrong, just because she wanted a change of scenery on a whim. Which is sort of true. She often wants to go back and tells herself she should go visit her parents more often, but never has the courage to.

She will steal without too many problems to her conscience if she has to, but she always tries to eventually pay those she steals from back. She is fairly noble in actuality and tries to give a helping hoof to any and all in need.

Backstory: Little Red's parents were both very quiet, her father a little less so, often having strong opinions about things. Little Red grew up being quiet like her parents. She lived in a small rural town, but was often dissatisfied. She liked her parents, but she had a strong desire to adventure.

She didn't quite fit in with other ponies her age due to her quiet disposition, and her passions cultivated in the quiet of fields, where she began to dream of becoming a royal guard, or being a great hero.

When she was ten, she found an old, rusty sword on the ground and kept it, beginning to swing it around. A year later, her father found it and, thinking it rubbish, burned it to use the extra metal. This was the first time she and her father ever got into a fight, she being very upset about him throwing away her most prized possession. Shortly after, in a fit of rage, she left the house at the age of twelve. She had stolen a few sharper kitchen knives and had trained to be very quick, but still did not have a sword, which she really wanted.

She took on odd jobs-- lending a helping hoof here and there-- to save up to a sword, all the while training constantly to improve herself physically. Often, she'd have to put a cut in her savings to actually buy food when she couldn't find any or to buy a few knives. When she was fourteen, she saved enough to buy an average sword, which she has kept to this day. She began training rigorously as a swordsman, and still is.

Recently, she decided to go back to her parents to apologize. They made up, and she goes back often now. She and her father are good friends now.
