Cutie Mark: A representation of sound waves, along with three music notes. It symbolizes Lunar's talent for echolocation, as well as some affinity for music. Sound is very significant to Lunar; she's been blind since birth, and she discovered at a young age how important sound is in trying to find her way around the world. She obtained her cutie mark once she discovered she could use echolocation.
Personality: Lunar is a pony that doesn't take nonsense from anyone. She tends to feel like an outcast as it is, being a bat pony (and an albino one, no less!), and she won't tolerate being treated differently - especially not for the fact that she's blind. She absolutely will put her hoof down on the matter, and those that have earned her disdain will be met with a viciously sarcastic attitude.

That said, Lunar tries to be friendly with others she's just met, even if she does come off as aloof sometimes. If she's friends with you, know that she'll generally be more lax and easy-going.
Backstory: Lunar Symphony was blind from the time she was born. Or at least, she was never able to see long enough for her to remember, anyway. A bat pony's eyes are sensitive to light, and for an albino, the issue is compounded. This sort of complication ultimately caused her blindness, and could not have been prevented. She was helpless for the first several years of her life, until she started becoming more aware of her surroundings.

She learned that sound was an important part of her life, and not long after that she learned that she was capable of echolocation. It happened by accident, if anything, but by the time she realized, she had earned her cutie mark. Now, she was able to get around on her own. She was that much more independent, instead of relying on others.

Perhaps a little too independent. Lunar moved out soon as she was able, and settled in a cave somewhere near the outskirts of Ponyville. She goes into town to do odd jobs for money, or food, or to buy hair dye for her mane - but otherwise, the residents don't see her around all too often unless she has a reason.
