Personality: Stressed, fun, and always up for a good laugh, Verses tends to overwork himself and nitpick all of his work. He hates missing a moment of inspiration, and takes things out on himself when something goes wrong. Can really only work well when he has inspiration, which he tends to lose quickly.

Backstory: Lyrical Verses was born in Ponyville, to two loving parents. He was the younger of three brothers, who were star musicians. Verses tried his hardest to impress his parents and become good at music, but everything he did fell short.<br /><br />One day, inspiration hit him. He asked his brothers to play a song of theirs. As they played, Verses started to write frivolously on an old piece of paper. He asked his brothers to keep repeating their song, and after and our, he was done. He showed what he had written down to his brothers, and they were shocked. The lyrics Verses had written down went with the tune and tittle of the song so perfectly, his brothers wanted to keep getting more from him.<br /><br />As Verses worked on trying to make lyrics, Verses found himself losing interest. He started jotting down why he thought he was losing interest, to keep himself on track, and soon found himself writing a full blown poem. When he went to go put the poem away, he glanced in a mirror and noticed that he had his cutie mark.<br /><br />After a while, Verses's brothers left to tour the world and play their music, leaving Verses behind. Ever since, Verses has been trying to put out as many poems and lyrical adaptations to songs as he can. He's made some bad ones due to overdoing them, and scrapped some others due to loss of interest. The rest had kept him on a steady enough income to survive, barely. Verses stayed in his house so much because of work, that he barely ever went outside except to buy groceries, or check his mail, so he didn't have many friends.<br /><br />Verses met Bladed Hearts at the marketplace, and the two hit it off. Since Bladed was new to town, Verses offered him a room in his house that he wasn't using. Ever since, the two have been roommates and as close as brothers. Verses has become a lot more social since Bladed showed up, which has helped to improve his work a bit, though he still overworks himself.
