• Maelstrom

    Aerodynas

    • Age: 17

      Gender: Female

      Species: Pegasus

      Appearance: see pic

Cutie Mark: Hasn't exactly obtained one yet and doesn't believe she ever will...but maybe one day...one day.

Personality: Despite her intimidating name, Mael is a very caring pony and truly wants to help others. She doesn't like to talk about her feelings or past for she finds that it would make her appear weak...thus, Mael often finds herself to be insignificant. A promise was made to herself that she would make up for her uselessness and redeem herself by doing things for others. Mael fights hard for friendship and some sense of belonging...but she hides her true self in fear of herself, not that she's evil but more so ashamed by who she is. Her past haunts her always and the pain can never seem to end...but Mael wants it to so badly.

Backstory: Mael grew up in a troubled home (classic I know). Her father left when she was only a few years of age, leaving her mother with a young filly to care for. Mael's mother was hard on her at every corner of her life, abusive to her at a young age both physically and mentally; however, the physical portion ended when Mael retaliated once in her teens...She never found her purpose. She hated her life...she wanted it all to end, but was unable to go through with it...so she ran away without ever looking back or seeing her mother ever again.
Her first idea was to search for her father...which didn't take long to find. The stallion was a deadbeat, a screw-up in life and was unqualified to parent her or help her in her life. At least he loved Mael and she fought to believe it...for if he didn't...than there was no one else who did.
Devastatingly, her father didn't stay with his daughter. He simply disappeared, only leaving a note behind saying, "I love you my daughter and always will." Maelstrom broke on that day...not understanding love or kindness. She felt betrayed: betrayed by her family, betrayed by life, and the most painful...betrayed by herself.
There was nothing left for Mael...but she kept going, believing that one day things would change...one day, she might find belonging, love, and most importantly, happiness...
