Personality: Mariposa is sly and secretive, as befits her job as a spy. She feels that the greater good is the important thing and is intensely loyal to her Queen. She is willing to fight for the good of the changeling Hive, and would lay down her life for her Queen. Mariposa does not tend to talk overmuch, and is very monosylabic to those she doesn't know well. She keeps herself to herself and doesn't interact with many changelings, only Cicada and Chrysalis.

Backstory: Mariposa was hatched in the Hive alongside many other changelings, the upper tier of the Hive. While others became rank Generals and, in the case of Cicada, second in command, Mariposa chose a different path. She became a spy, collecting exclusive information for her Queen. In order to do this, she took pony form and moved about the pony towns unnoticed and unseen. Mariposa has even gone to Cloudsdale to spy on the pegasi, and to Canterlot. She prides herself on being able to assume a form that appears to ponies as dull and uninteresting, and therefore escapes detection. All is done for the greater good of the Hive.
