Mason
Age: 85* (Stopped aging at 28)
Gender: Male
Species: Non-Pony
Appearance:
Mason was once an earth pony. He gives his appearance very little thought. He hardly looks any different from how he looked when he was an earth pony. His body is short and thin. He has a rough, long, scraggly grey mane, which he never brushes, drooping off both sides of his scalp and covering his ears. His coat is a light shade of brown. The only physical appearance that changed when he became an abomination was his eye color, which changed from light blue to yellow.

(Note: His appearance usually doesn't change from this, however, his grotesque abilities can allow him to alter his body however he pleases. This all the more proves that he doesn't care about how he looks.)

Cutie Mark:
He once had a cutie mark of a shield, the sign of a proud security guard. His mark was acquired through an act of bravery as a small colt. He defended a little filly in his class who was being physically bullied by another class mate, getting himself gravely injured in the process. He failed miserably to protect her, but also discovered that his talent was protecting the people and things he cared for.

However, upon his transformation into an abomination. His cutie mark was removed, as he was technically no longer a pony. In addition to this, he lost all desire to protect the innocent as he once did. The new him cares only about himself.

Personality:
Before his transformation, he was a very honorable and happy stallion. Despite being quite lonely at that time, he saw it as all the more reason to be friendly to others. Most of the ponies who knew him at that time would describe him as a very reliable neighbor, and the kind of pony you could count on if you had something you needed help with. Catching him without a smile on his face usually meant he was sleeping.

However, his old personality had one fatal flaw: A deep fear of aging and death. He refused to allow himself to grow old. He wanted to stay young forever. This mindset was deeply rooted into him when he began to become a skilled fighter and didn't want to lose his power.

After his transformation, he took on a different personality: A sadistic and cruel creature with no compassion left in his soul. The transformation and power corrupted him into a horrible, heartless monster.

His current personality makes a nasty habit off of enhancing others suffering. He loves to play off of other's weaknesses, especially their love for others. Playing with emotions is his favorite game. He has no problem lying to others in order to increase their hatred. He has been known to inform ponies about the death of their loved ones in a cruel and sadistic manner, often adding lies to the story to make them sound weak for his own amusement.

He values no life other than his own, and is perfectly willing to kill if any need arises. He enjoys fighting, but never ends his opponents' lives quickly.

He takes the fact that he is so difficult to kill and warps it into believing that he can never be killed (Although he can be killed if his heart or brain is destroyed). This makes him very foolish in combat, taunting his opponents and skipping opportunities for a clean kill in favor of more time to torment his opponent. This is his greatest weakness and often his downfall.

(Note: I suggest reading the quote section for a better feel of his personality.)

Backstory:
As stated before, Mason was once a regular earth pony with a fear of aging or dying. He was quite lonely as well, he had no active love life and became very distant from his parents. He didn't want the life that his parents wanted for him: a white collar job with a normal wife, no more than two kids, and maybe even a family dog. He hated the idea of being that boring. He fought them through every step of his childhood and refused additional schooling after he turned eighteen, dropping out of his second half of senior year and moving to Manehattan to live on his own. This also meant that he had no one to help guide him away from his selfish desires.

He came to enjoy the pastime of practicing self defense, spending any extra money he had on lessons to better himself in a wide variety of martial arts. He entered himself in fighting tournaments, earning a small amount of money and affording better and better training as he progressed. Once he had achieved a considerable amount of fame, however, he began to develop an innate fear of losing the youth and power that he had.

"I feel like our mortal lives are just some kind of sick joke! We're young for long enough to find out what we want to do with our youth, then we wither up and it's all taken away!" He said to one of his trainers in a violent fit of emotion. "I'm not going to let that happen! I don't care what you say! Growing old is NOT okay! I will find a way to stay young! I've worked to hard and come to far to be beaten by something like time!"

His desire for immortality drove him to extreme measures when he accepted an invitation to the Everfree Tournament: an illegal and highly secretive tournament that was recently shut down, organised by greedy crime lords that pits eight fighters in a series of death matches for a chance to win one wish from the tournament's committee. The tournament were the hardest three fights of his life up to that point, pushing his body and mind to their greatest limits. Were it not for his determination, he would have lost.

Upon his victory, he had one request:

"You will change me from a pony into an all powerful demon! One that will practically never age and has power absolute!"

The wish was granted using a combination of dark magic and the most expensive surgeries money could buy. He became an abomination. His body no longer ages and now has unusual demonic powers. Powers which he has, unfortunately, come to abuse.

He decided to use his newfound strength to start up a band of mercenaries called the Yokai Seven (The Seven Monsters). Four of the gang's members were recruited willingly, two of them, a minotaur named Havoc and a psychic named Femi, were forced to join the gang when he defeated them in battle. The Yokai Seven grew infamous for accepting and completing contracts to morally ambiguous for other mercenaries.
