Appearance: Purple fur with long white mane and tail. Melody is always changing her mane and tail styles, so has no fixed mane and tail style.

Cutie Mark: Three music notes. This signifies Melody's talent of singing.

Personality: Melody tends to be fairly bossy, and can be at times a bit of a know it all. She always thinks that she knows best, and doesn't like to listen to other ponies' opinions, especially if they differ to her own. Melody can also get impatient if a pony she's talking to seems to be missing the point she's trying to make, and get quite irate. She has no patience with stupid ponies, or the deliberately obtuce. <br /><br />Melody is very impulsive, and will have a go at anything, despite difficulty. Melody is a loyal friend and very generous. She likes to give surprise gifts to her friends and will be upset if anypony refuses one. Despite her fame, she is very down to earth and still keeps the friends she made as a filly.

Backstory: Melody grew up in Cloudsdale, but later moved to Trottingham. Her parents were weather workers, but when Melody developed a wonderful talent for singing, encouraged her all they could. Melody eventually took up singing professionally as a career, but still periodically visits Cloudsdale to see her parents and sometimes help them with the weather of Equestria. <br /><br />Melody is best friends with the mayor of Trottingham, who she went to school with. She regularly holds concerts at all the major towns in her part of Equestria, and always gives her friends free tickets. Melody does not have a special somepony as she prefers to put her career first, and fears that a stallion would cramp her style too much. She's also not interested at all in foals.
