Cutie Mark: Midnight's cutie mark is a heart with rainbow colors in it with a smaller heart next to it. The big heart represents her love of art and painting. The smaller heart represents her compassion, trustworthiness, and kindness. She got her cutie mark when she realized that she loved painting and realized she had true friends.

Personality: A trustworthy, considerate and compassionate pony who will always be a shoulder to lean on.

Backstory: Midnight Gaze lived in Canterlot during most of her life. However, her aunts, uncles and grandparents lived in Fillydelphia. Almost every year she would go, and when she wasn't in Fillydelphia, she was writing them letters telling about life in Canterlot. Midnight Gaze had always been a loner until she took calligraphy classes. Everyone who saw her calligraphy said it was great. But she felt something was missing in her life.<br /><br /> She and her two friends were thinking up ideas for their friendship anniversary when she discovered her cutie mark. She began to paint a picture. She meant to paint a picture of her and her friends, but her heart went a different way and she ended up with a painting of a heart. She felt a rush of pure bliss to see her friends liking her work, and she got her cutie mark simultaneously. Later, she got a message from the Canterlot art gallery. She took her painting there and titled it "Pouring Your Heart Out". <br /><br />Years later, her two best friends had to leave Canterlot to pursue their dreams. She felt sad to see them go, but she knew they would always see her first painting and think of her.<br /><br />Later, she saw one of those best friends, Rachel. Rachel was a periwinkle-and-white pony who always made her laugh. They engaged in conversation and Rachel mentioned Ponyvile. She found out that one of her long lost preschool-middle school friends named Periwinkle Skies was there. She visited immediately and fell in love with the scenery. She decided to stay and visited Canterlot for occasions like the Grand Galloping Gala in which she invited Rachel, Silver Bells(a.k.a Sarah) and Periwinkle Skies to go with her. <br />
