Appearance: A tallish Unicorn with a dark blue coat and a solid white mane and tail

Cutie Mark: A open book propped up against a stack of book of various sizes(see comment for picture)<br /><br />It symbolizes his intense love of reading and his willing to read about anything that attracts even a small amount of attention to him. <br />On the flip side the various book topics (not sure how to show that on a cutie mark without it being to complex) show that while he will read almost anything he jumps from topic to topic the moment another one catches his attention.

Personality: Midnight is a rather shy pony who finds it difficult to form long term relationship of any kind and after the move to Hollow Shades it became even harder.<br /><br />He enjoys reading books about topics that interest him even in the slightest to the point that if a new topic interests him enough he will drop the current topic to read about the new one until he gets bored.

Backstory: Midnight grew up in a medium sized town called Haymilton where he was bullied a lot by the other colts and fillies due to his parents lack of imagination when naming a colt born at midnight. <br /><br />Because of this he found it difficult to make friends until his parents forced him to join the schools book club. Which is where he meet his best friend Scarlett Barrage a unicorn filly with a love for fire and books (mainly books about fire). <br /><br />A couple of years later when he was 10 his father Moon Soak(wow bad names run in the family) got a new job in Hollow shades as its new doctor which caused the family to move.<br /><br />Because of this sudden change to his normally peaceful life Midnight found it difficult to befriend the local ponies. <br />Not long after his move to Hollow Shades he found the local library where he could read to his hearts content. Four years after his family moved to Hollow Shades the local librarian and his good friend Book Mark was diagnosed with cancer however Book Mark chose not to tell Midnight until it was too late for him to be cured simply because he old and didn't want to go through the ordeal that and he had lived a good long life and that one of his last few wishes was for Midnight to take his place as librarian and it was that event that caused him to caused Midnight to get his cutie mark.
