Appearance: Tall, sturdy dark gray pony. His mane is an aged, lighter shade of gray and he has a well-cropped mane and a carefully trimmed beard. His expression is one of paternal kindness, though he has no children of his own. he often wears a weathered trench coat.
Cutie Mark: A sturdy oak. To anyone who asks, he claims it represents his old job in the lumber industry. Though he was skill lumberjack and wood-worker, this isn't exactly true. It mostly represents his strength, power, and desire to protect and nurture others.
Personality: Quick as a whip, though not necessarily "book smart", and with a patience that can outlast the sun and moon. He looks on everyone with the sort of joy that can only be developed after years of slowly seeing the good and bad in everyone you meet. He loves children, despite not having any of his own, and spends lots of time with them. He has mostly slowed down his life and freely gives advice and suggestions to anyone who wants it, but every now and then has the itch to get back into crime-fighting.
Backstory: In Manehattan, there are criminals and heroes. The greatest of these heroes in the days of old was the Hoof of Justice, a mighty stallion who defeated any villains who rose to break the peace. He was much beloved, and for more than 30 years he patrolled the streets, fighting off anyone who would cause undo harm. Finally, though, the times caught up to him. As he grew more and more tired, he realized his time was up. In the last few years, he taught the next generation everything he knew, and then moved to Ponyville. He now enjoys a calm, quiet retirement and tries to help everyone he can with whatever he can.
