Appearance: (Anthropomorphic) <br /><br />A fidgety, pale-green pegasus with permanently unkempt yellow hair (despite regulations and her own best efforts) and badly chewed hooves.

Personality: A former shuttle pilot hungering to explore the unknown, Misty uses bravado to cover her lack of self-confidence. Having finally achieved her dream of piloting a starship, she is determined not to let herself or her comrades down, although when under pressure she starts to fall apart.

Backstory: Born on Equestria, Misty Flight always wanted to live on the move, to see something new every day. She was an avid reader of adventure stories; tales of ponies who had raised their sights above the humdrum of everyday life and seen the wonders beyond. Starfleet seemed to offer her the chance to be one of those heroes.<br /><br />She had always performed well academically, especially in physics and geography, and when she displayed the appropriate aptitudes she went on to Starfleet's highly selective helmsmanship course. The pressure of real-life situations, however, proved her undoing and despite her good simulation scores she was deemed unsuited to the high-pressure role of helmsman. <br /><br />Transferring to the less demanding piloting course she graduated as an atmospheric and orbital pilot, ending up as a shuttle pilot performing lunar and orbital station cargo runs. Despite being shackled to a single planet she enjoyed her work and grew in confidence.<br /><br />Five years and as many training courses later, she finally qualified for starship helmsman and was assigned to the newly commissioned USS Luna...
