Appearance: Moon Beam is a dark gray mare with a spot on her nose that fades to a lighter gray. She has a long purple and green mane and tail. Her tail is wavy and has a braid woven into it from the base to the tip and wraps around her tail. Her eyes are are a light, silvery gray, but sometimes they turn into a vibrant red. She has two feathers behind her ear, which are both black and brown. She also has a couple of feathers tucked into the braid in her tail.

Cutie Mark: Moon Beam's cutie mark is a full moon behind a feather. Her cutie mark represents her connection to her spirit and freedom. It also represents her inner power and her connection to the moon.

Personality: Moon Beam is a free spirited and intelligent pony. Despite her small and weak appearance, she is a very strong and fast pony. She has a lot of fighting and survival knowledge and knows how to take care of herself. Moon Beam is very polite to most ponies, but seems to make enemies easily. However, she is nice to the ponies who dont like her even though they might be mean to her, until they push her too far. She has a very big heart, but can switch her attitude from kind to mean in seconds. She protects the ones she loves and is very caring.

Backstory: Moon beam grew up with her mother , Starlight, father, Fire Bolt, and twin brother, Storm Shade in Cloudsdale. She lived a fairly normal life, outside of the fact that she had a very dangerous curse. It was a curse that she had since birth. It was brought upon her through her mother. Her mom, Starlight, had studied a lot with a prestigious group of unicorns who lived in a desolate area of mountains far away from CLoudsdale. She had learned about their magic and even learned to use "inner magic", which the unicorns told her about. However, she had made an enemy of one of the unicorns, who didnt like the fact that a pegasus was learning about unicorn magic. As time went on, this unicorn, who went by the name of Lilah, began to hate Starlight more and more. By the time she was ready to leave the unicorns, Lilah hated her so much that she decided to put a curse on Starlight. However, Lilah didnt just want to curse her, she wanted to ruin her life. She didnt put the curse on Starlight, but on her first born child. Years later, when Starlight had forgotten about the curse, she decided to have colts. Out of the two twins she had, Moon beam was the first to be born, therefore giving her the curse. As soon as she opened her eyes, they sparkled red for a split second, then turned back to the silvery gray they were supposed to be. Once Starlight saw this, she knew what it was. She tried to keep the curse under wraps for years, and she did a very good job for a long time. Until one year, when Moon Beam was about five. She had gotten angry at her father, and threw a temper tantrum. The curse decided it was time to protect Moon Beam from her father, since it saw him as a threat, and lashed out on him. Her eyes turned red and her wings grew very large. A luminescent glow began to eminate from the small mare, and suddenly, her father was thrown out of the door of their house and he began plummeting to the ground. He was almost killed. After that day, Moon Beam vowed to herself and her family that she would find a way to get rid of her curse. However, her curse is connected to her inner power, which her mom had been teaching her to use since after the whole outburst so that she could learn to one day control her curse.
